Will never get the time (or the credit) back
- By Carol on 20-02-19
Summary
When Caroline Sears receives the news that her unborn baby girl has a heart defect, she is devastated. It is 1970, and it seems that nothing can be done. But her brother-in-law, a physicist, tells her that perhaps there is. Hunter had appeared in their lives just a few years before - and his appearance was as mysterious as his past. With no family, no friends, and a background shrouded in secrets, Hunter embraced the Sears family and never looked back.
Now, Hunter is telling her that something can be done about her baby’s heart. Something that will shatter every preconception Caroline has. Something that will require a kind of strength and courage she never knew existed. Something that will mean a mind-bending leap of faith on Caroline’s part.
And all for the love of her unborn child.
The Dream Daughter sees Diane Chamberlain push the boundaries to deliver a novel that you will never forget.

Don't be put off by the concept
I was a little hesitant regarding the concept but I took a leap of faith in the author given how much I've enjoyed previous books. So remarkably well written that you really do believe in the plot. I cannot find anything to criticise as it appeared factually accurate, when applicable.
I loved every minute of the book and I'm hoping that the author will find some way to make a sequal. ***totally recommend***

Good story
I love Diane Chamberlain's books and this is no exception. My only criticism would be that the middle section of the book is a bit drawn out, some bits went on longer than needed.
The whole way through I just wanted Carly to catch a break and I really felt attached to her.

Best book I’ve listened to this year!
I love a Diane Chamberlain, and I always await her next release with great anticipation, shortly into this one, I began to worry as it took a different route to her norm with the time travel theme, I’m happy to say I should never of doubted her for a second..... it was amazing and now I’m feeling bereft that I’ve finished it, totally recommend to everybody
