Summary

New from USA Today best-selling author Linzi Baxter, the first book in her exciting new paranormal romance series.

She was supposed to be just a job. A paycheck. Now, she’s his destiny.

Talia hadn’t planned on dying today. But accidentally defying the Supernatural Council isn’t exactly a wise life plan. When she did her duty and touched a bloody knife to determine guilt or innocence, her vision seemed...off. So was Councilman Gideon’s rush to declare a shivering child guilty of murder.

Now, Talia’s trying to lose herself in the West Virginia mountains with the child in tow. And the mercenary on their tail has an uncanny ability to find them, no matter how far they run.

Kirin’s dragon-shifter senses make him the most sought-after bounty hunter in these parts. But something about this job smells...wrong. And when he finally gets his hands on the fugitive, he gets the surprise of his nearly 300-year life. The fragile, determined woman in his arms is the mate he’d given up all hope of finding.

Now, instead of breathing down her neck, he’s bound to protect her at all costs. But if they can’t figure out who wants this child dead - and why - they could all wind up sharing the same grave.

Note: The Dragon’s Psychic is the first of a three-book series. Each book will have a complete HEA romance, connected with a continuing plot that will conclude with book three.

Brilliant!

Fancied reading about dragons and came across this author. I’ve just finished all 3 and they were brilliant! Excellent characters with an great action storyline that keeps you engrossed. Both narrators were excellent bringing both the characters and story to life. Hoping there are more books/audio in this world as I’m excited to find out more about Arrow.

A fantastic New series!

This is the first book by this author and narrator and I have to say I loved it. The author has a wonderful imagination and definitely enjoyed adding high tech to a shifter series. It brings the best of both worlds together. This storyline had a lot of action, adventure, suspense, intrigue and romance. The narrator’s do an awesome job of making the story come to life. They are a great together. They definitely make it easy to distinguish between the characters and voices of each character. I absolutely enjoyed listening to this audiobook and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Totally enjoyed the romance and mystery with this story. The characters gelled well and the sexual chemistry sizzled between the dragon shifter and his intended mate. New author for me to read from and listened to the audio book at the same time. Had me intrigued from the first chapter. Definatly recommend the book and indeed the audio book too. 😍

Entertaining story

The Dragon’s Psychic was a nice mystery romance story involving a young girl accused of murder and a psychic’s desperate need to make sure the right person his held responsible. The characters are likable and believable and the storyline is interesting and entertaining. There are a few intimate scenes but nothing to explicit. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

an impactful beginning

A rousing paranormal crime mystery with romance, that I couldn't get enough of. I loved seeing Kirin the single minded mercenary change into a caring protector for Talia and Alita. I can't wait for each brother's story. and to see Alita's full powers, and the villain to be put down. Intrigue and action kept me turning pages. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review. The duet narration brought it all to life. Enjoyed immensely.

better than I expected

Did the story keep me engaged: yes Were there any parts I found annoying: not with the story - but it ended more abruptly than I would have liked. Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes Would I listen to it again: yes The fated mates story is a common one for PNR and there is nothing particularly new for Talia and Kirin in that regard - that being said, what makes this book stand out is Alida, the little girl they are both out to save. The book has good pace, interesting characters and an good story line. I would have liked a little more world building, but as the story is only short I expect this will happen as the series comes together. Heather Costa and Jeffrey Kafer did a great job on the narration. It's great to have a book where its not just alternate chapters read by alternate narrators but the acutal characters individually narrated no matter when they occur. Linzi Baxter is a new author for me and I will definitely look for the rest of this series, it is better than i was expecting and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Great for even reluctant PNR readers like me!

Oooh I want a dragon-man now too! Loved the characters and the story. Came across very realistic, not too fantastical. I'll definitely look for more from this author and continue with the series!

Excellent start to a new Dragon Shifter series!!

This is an awesome start to the series. It has lots of action, twists and turns, deception and some PG-rated steam. The narrators, Jeffrey Kafer and Heather Costa, did an outstanding job! I received a copy of this audiobook from Audiobook Boom and I am leaving my honest review.

Addicting

I'll be honest with you, the romance side of this story is probably one you've heard and it won't exactly be new for you if you've ever read any paranormal romance books. That is not what sets this book apart from the others. It is the little girl, the main female character, and the plot that make this book go on my waiting for the next one list! I need to know what is going to happen! I want to know more about these characters and what happens next for them. It isn't long but I would recommend for anyone just looking for a good story that will keep you interested til the end.

ok for what it is

This was what it was. I didn't find anything especially impressive about it, but I also didn't think it a bad version of a basic dragon shifter-find-his-mate story. I liked the characters and thought the inclusion of a child interesting. However, I also thought the child got over losing her parents too easily and the conclusion was too swift (rushed). The narrator did a fine job and I'd be willing to both read another Baxter book and listen to another of Costa and Kafer's readings. Note: I received a free copy of this audiobook. I chose to listen and review it.
