The Beautiful Dragons are no more - betrayed by someone they trusted.

The last of her clan of assassins, the Violet Dragon burns with rage, and she'll stop at nothing until her sisters' deaths are avenged. A reckoning is coming to those responsible for the heinous act against her family. And with the help of an American CIA operative, she’ll get her chance.

Together, the unlikely duo will not only solve who murdered the people she cared about, but they’ll also discover who's been buying and selling women for profit throughout Southeast Asia. It was the last "job" that her organization of killers had been tasked with.

High Action, Intrigue, Great Plot!

This was my first foray into a Matt James book and I can't begin to describe how impressed I was with The Dragon. It has a great plot that engages you right up front and keeps you enthralled throughout ! I am totally hooked and highly recommend this book. Amy Jo Steele did a great job with narration, keeping all the characters separate and distinct. She invested a great deal of emotional output in the characters she defined. The only negative I could find was an production issue more than an narration issue and it wasn't that prevalent. Towards the last 8 chapters there were a couple of areas of repeating a phrase spoken. It wasn't all that distracting as it was a surprise as the audiobook had been flawless up until then.

Intensity Abounds

This was a really great read for me. I loved the history and mystique behind the Beautiful Dragons and their place in the world. The action was intense and non-stop and I found it hard to stop listening. The narrator was perfect for this story about strong women and I enjoyed it immensely.
