Victorian London is a cruel place for a divorcee, but with the death of Sophie Duthie’s beloved second husband, she is now a widow, and independent for the first time in her life. First audible by this author. Nice story but it was dampened by the drawling accent of the narrator and some odd pronouncements. I know it is written by an American and read by one but really, the book is about English people.
