Summary

Jo Beckett is a forensic psychiatrist who profiles victims' lives to help solve their deaths. On a San Francisco street, she is confronted by a scene of pure carnage: four dead and five injured after a high speed pursuit. In the mangled remains of a BMW lies prosecutor Callie Harding, dead with the word "dirty" written in lipstick on her thigh.

Great suspense fuelled story...keeps you guessing all the way through.

More Jo Beckett stories please Audible

After the explosive opening the book seemed to stall a little and I wondered whether in fact I was going to enjoy it as much as I had anticipated! But I need not have worried as the plot soon picked up and became a real 'page turner' or the audio equivalent. Liked the new angle of forensic psychology, but am not sure about the monkey! Narration and characterisation were excellent, highly recommended.

More enjoyable than I thought it would be

Like another reviewer I wasn't too sure of the monkey, or the neighbor. However, overall I enjoyed the story more than I thought I would and I have no hesitation in trying the second in the series, which is downloading as I type.

far fetched and too much 'thriller' filler.

recording is also defective: chunks repeat themselves in different chapters. no more to say but 15 words required! Filler...
