Some places are forgotten for a reason. When historian Amanda Devlin travels to the remote Irish island of Blackcross, she is looking for a missing man and answers about why he came there.
Instead, she finds an isolated community in crisis.
A violent storm is closing in. The island’s water supply is contaminated. Its inhabitants are suspicious of outsiders. And everywhere Amanda turns, she encounters traces of Blackcross’s dark history, including the centuries old story of twenty four women whose deaths have long been consigned to folklore.
