Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

A gripping murder mystery set in the foothills of the Cuillin Mountain range on the Isle of Skye, from the multi-million-copy bestselling author J M Dalgliesh.

Life is full of choices. Death is chosen for you...

When the body of a missing tourist is discovered slain in the foothills of the Cuillin Mountain range beside Loch Coruisk, it falls to DI Duncan McAdam and his small team to discover how he came to be there and who had a motive to kill him.

The summer season is a welcome distraction following a long and challenging winter. Here, on the inner Hebridean island, long-held secrets, past crimes and burning resentment will be unveiled in the most brutal fashion.

Set amidst the dramatic landscape of the Isle of Skye, this addictive and fast-paced whodunnit takes you into the world of an isolated rural community, where everyone is hiding secrets.

The Cuillin Dead is the fourth book in the Amazon #1 bestselling Misty Isle series.

Cops investigate a tourist murder on Skye (although apart from naming a few tourist honeypots could have been anywhere in Scotland). Plenty of dialogue but brought to life by excellent narration by Angus King, Many characters, which can get confusing when they’re sometimes referred to by christian names, sometimes by surnames. Another tale where most the work seems to be done by the DI and his trusty sarge sidekick, but it’s fiction so that ok. Overall enjoyable and will listen to another in the series.

Good Scottish noir lifted further by excellent narration

What four great stories. Finding it hard to imagine the scenery and the weather changes but also imagining the scenery. The characters banter made you feel as if you were part of the story which made it enjoyable to listen too.
