About this listen

It was impossible not to notice them. The perfect couple at Table Six...

Max and Nadine Murphy have a tradition. Friday night is date night and it's always at their favourite restaurant. But that regular routine means somebody at the restaurant has become fond of them...

Hannah is the waitress who has found herself drawn to the couple at Table Six and the more she observes them, the more she wants to know everything about them. What is their home life like? What do they do for work? Why does Mrs Murphy look agitated? And could Mr Murphy ever be interested in becoming romantically involved with his waitress?

As Hannah begins to intricate herself into their lives, she learns they have been keeping secrets from each other. The couple aren't as perfect as they seem. But Hannah has secrets of her own, and the closer she gets to the couple, the more she is putting everything in her fragile life at risk...

She should have stayed away from the couple at Table Six. Now their lives will never be the same again...

Another fast-paced psychological thriller from the author of the UK #1 bestseller 'The Passenger', 'The Wrong Woman' and 'We Used To Live Here'.

Most of the people in Daniels books think nothing of murder to save getting a divorce for instance or I wouldn't be surprised if a character killed someone off because they didnt put sugar in their tea for them. Can't help but keep buying his books though lol

Stretches believability very very thinly and I saw most of the twists coming. I expected more, I’m sorry to say, and as only 5 hours long, not sure it’s great use of a credit. Not blown away by this one.

Thought it was going well then it suddenly ended..The final chapter was to hurried.Good narration though.

This book is surely not meant to be taken seriously????? It is so unbelievably far fetched I was laughing out loud! Hannah is absolutely off her head mad, ....seriously mad! She makes a bunny boiler seem normal. Nadine wasn't much saner, neither was her husband for that matter.
Surely this was SUPPOSED to be a 'tongue in cheek' story? It was a bit like a Roald Dahl 'Tales of the Unexpected' story.... very entertaining but completely unbelievable.
Even the epilogue was a final shocker.!!!
The narrators were very good.
I would recommend this book, but it's definitely NOT a 'psychological thriller'

Black Comedy !!!

Narration was really good and I did enjoy the book. However it was (as mentioned in another review ) more like a black comedy than a psychological thriller. It was laughable at times and the characters are not likeable one bit.
Overall an OK read but wouldn’t recommend .

So incredibly far fetched
