About this listen

The second book in the Cait Morgan Mysteries brings overindulgent foodie and criminologist Cait Morgan to the vineyards of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. A world-famous vintner is dead. And when a heartfelt plea to look into the matter is paired with an exclusive gourmet event in BC’s stunning wine country, Cait Morgan cannot resist. She is sure the owner of the family-run vineyard was murdered. But her companion, Bud Anderson, is convinced that the woman took her own life. That is, until death strikes once again. Uncovering obsessions and murderous thoughts among the victim’s wacky neighbours is a start. But, as Cait unravels the clues, she realizes that more lives are at stake. Can she think, and act, fast enough to prevent another death?

At first I was unsure but after a few minutes and my brain adjusted to the south Wales welsh accent I was part of the story. Hope book 3 will be available on audible.

I enjoyed this story, even though I got a couple of the twists early on.
But the narrator… oh dear me. Her accents are dreadful - the worst Yorkshire imaginable, her characterisation of Ellen and Serendipity was very very poor, Colin the least believable teenage boy ever. This would have been so much better with an experienced voice actor - the story would have been so much more entertaining. Sorry Ms Ace you need to step back

Please get a decent narrator

Enjoyable, interesting, not gory, liked the narration, altogether good.

A bit Agatha Christie in the ending all ends tied neatly.

Good story finished like Poirot!
