About this listen

Childhood friends Juliet, Rebecca, Rose, and Matthew grew up in a small village outside Dublin. Now privileged, wealthy, and powerful, they appear to have it all. But when Juliet is involved in a suspicious accident and lies trapped between life and death at the bottom of a cliff, a secret that has been hidden for years threatens the seemingly perfect lives of the close-knit group.

Critic reviews

"In writing this fresh and vibrant 'whodunit', Miller has built on her previous triumphs and has shouted from the rooftops that she will broker no compromise with anyone, least of all her readers" ( Irish Independent)

This started well enough. The main characters are well developed, I especially liked Juliet. Unfortunately, about half way through, it seems to lose it's way. I made it to near the end of chapter 45 (out of 63) and with 4-hours to go, I completely lost interest. I suspect there is a twist toward the end, but I don't care enough to make it through until then. I am returning it.

Lost it's way!
