Summary
From world-renowned author Erich Segal comes a powerful and moving saga of five extraordinary members of the Harvard class of 1958 and the women with whom their lives are intertwined. Their explosive story begins in a time of innocence and spans a turbulent quarter century, culminating in their dramatic 25 reunion at which they confront their classmates - and the balance sheet of their own lives. Always at the center, amid the passion, laughter, and glory, stands Harvard - the symbol of who they are and who they will be.
They were a generation who made the rules - then broke them - whose glittering successes, heartfelt tragedies, and unbridled ambitions would stun the world.

NOT unabridged!
Although listed as unabridged, this is only a portion of the actual book. Left so many of the detail out, it feels like a cliff notes version. Would not recommend if you are a fan of the original. However, if you have never read the book, then you should be ok. The story and performance are fine, it's just that the 'meat' of the story is missing.

Actually It’s Abridged
The description shows book is unabridged, but this recording is abridged. I own the book & I estimate that between 25% and 50% was not read.
The description should have been accurate

Favorite book since childhood
I read this in my teens over 30+ years ago. What a delight to hear Erich weave the story in his voice, transporting me once again to Harvard and into the lives of five astounding men.
Unfortunately I have come to realize this is not unabridged. There are paragraphs left out. This should read abridged version.

Way to darn abridged
The amount of material that was left out of this book was ridiculous. Totally ripped the guts out of the whole story. Sorry I spent the money on it.
