When Democratic Senator Bruce Jansen is elected president of the United States, it is a personal victory for Dorothy 'Dottie' Rogers. She has secured a job in the White House, has proved to her Republican father that she was right to support Jansen, and is proud to see the rise of an intelligent, inspiring leader who shares her ideals. Summary
The brand-new thriller featuring Investigative Analyst Fredrika Bergman and Alex Recht of the Stockholm police.
On a cold winter's day, a preschool teacher is shot to death in front of parents and children at the Jewish Congregation in Stockholm. Just a few hours later, two Jewish boys go missing on their way to tennis practice. A heavy snowstorm hits Stockholm, and the traces of the perpetrator are few and far between.
Fredrika Bergman and Alex Recht are faced with one of their toughest challenges ever as they hunt for a killer who seems as merciless as he is effective. The leads in the investigation are many and diverse, but in the end they all point to the same place: Israel. Someone or something called the Paper Boy keeps popping up in the police investigation. But who was he really? And could he possibly have resurfaced in Stockholm, now claiming new victims?

A good story spoiled by a poorly chosen narrator
This book has a great plot but is badly let down by the narrator, who bled all the atmosphere out of the story. Having intended to listen to other books by this author, I find they all have the same reader and I won't be listening to any more.

Great story - terrible narration
Loved the story with its twists and turns.
However I really hated the narrator, those put on voices were terrible - everybody sounded like actors in a bad horror show full of old croaking witches.
If only the narrator had continued reading without the voices it would have been so much better.

OMG The narrator
Had the subject matter not interested me as much as it did I would not have made it through the first 15 minutes of this book let alone the whole thing. The narrator is a complete disaster and totally ruined the story. She is fine when she is just reading but her use of 'voices' was utterly excruciating and she quite often missed the intonation required. I will go out of my way to avoid her. That said, I'm sure she's a very nice person in real life!
