About this listen

Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job; loyal friends; his dream home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life, he believes that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is until Gabby Holland moves in next door. Despite Travis's attempts to be friendly, she seems to have a chip on her shoulder about him. But something compels Travis to get to know his new neighbour. His persistent efforts lead them both to make tough decisions, the consequences of which neither could have foreseen.

The Choice confronts us with that most heart-wrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

Well written and very well read. The narrator has a lovely voice, I will be searching for more books read by him.

Would you try another book written by Nicholas Sparks or narrated by Holter Graham?

yes to both, love Nicholas Sparks books and the narrator was easy to listen to

If you’ve listened to books by Nicholas Sparks before, how does this one compare?

Slower than I expected from previous books

Was The Choice worth the listening time?

Yes and no, seemed very long at time due to slow nature of story but some parts were very good

Would you listen to The Choice again? Why?

Yes, if because there is always something that resonates in some way (which is true of any of Nicholas Sparkes books). This one made my heart smile, laugh, cry, sob, and feel so many emotions all in one. Its one i would listen to again but i couldn't do it too often. I could easily have continues reading/listening to it if it had carried on. How does Nicholas touch my heart in so many ways in one story!

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I wanted to put the book down because i could not bare it, but I also wanted to read as fast as I could in case the ending was different to what u expected, then it threw me because it twisted into another direction...

Which scene did you most enjoy?

My favourite part was the weekend with friends, the slow fall into friendship with everyone, I felt i was there somewhere not just reading/listening to it.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

because your worth it

Any additional comments?

Have your tissues ready, but do read it, its definitely worth it!!!
