Summary

Artificial intelligence leads to shockingly real devastation in this new novel in the number one New York Times best-selling Gray Man series.

Someone is killing the world's leading experts on robotics and computers. A desperate Russian scientist approaches Court Gentry and Zoya Zakharova to ask for their protection, but before they can help, they are attacked by a team of professional assassins.

They escape, but wherever they turn, it's clear that whoever's tracking them is always going to be one step ahead. With a danger of this level, there's no choice but to attack into the threat.

There is one man who may hold the answers to all their questions. But he's gone to ground in a fortress surrounded by a veritable army. If that's not bad enough, he has a new chief of security—Court's old comrade, Zack Hightower.

Great story, as always.

A few small things for me, the Welshman, absolutely diabolical accent, he changed between Irish, Scottish, Brummie with hardly a hint of Welsh, it was excruciating and badly edited, presumably by someone who doesn’t understand the nuances in accents other than US. (Actually that was a big thing and hope Audible ? Take note)

A couple of mispronounces as well, and the whole robot fight was a bit too long.

Apart from that it is a great Grey Man book, nice to see he is developing feelings. Love the tie in with his ex handler.

I hope there is another Grey Man film.

This book is as gripping as all the other Gray Man books. The narrator is skilled but he cannot do British, Australian or New Zealand accents (they are terrible). His American accent repertoire is excellent however and his other offerings like South African, Middle Eastern and even Chinese are good too.

I’ve enjoyed the Gray Man series and the characters involved, all brilliantly brought to life by the narrator. He has a wonderful variety of voices for gender and accents. I presume there will be a follow up. The main story arc was good though predictable by the end. But then that’s why I enjoy the books. They are an immersive listen of drama and adventure of extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. Escapism at is best entertainment value! Can’t wait for the next book.

Another enjoyable & brilliantly read Gray Man book!

The narrator should NEVER try to do British or New Zealand accents, it spoiled the story as the accents were so bad.

A bit far fetched, but worth listening to.
