Summary

New York Times best-selling author Lee Strobel trains his investigative sights on the hot-button question: is it really credible to believe God intervenes supernaturally in people’s lives today?

This provocative book starts with an unlikely interview in which America’s foremost skeptic builds a seemingly persuasive case against the miraculous. But then Strobel travels the country to quiz scholars to see whether they can offer solid answers to atheist objections. Along the way, he encounters astounding accounts of healings and other phenomena that simply cannot be explained away by naturalistic causes. The audiobook features the results of exclusive new scientific polling that shows miracle accounts are much more common than people think.

What’s more, Strobel delves into the most controversial question of all: what about miracles that don’t happen? If God can intervene in the world, why doesn’t he do it more often to relieve suffering? Many American Christians are embarrassed by the supernatural, not wanting to look odd or extreme to their neighbors. Yet, The Case for Miracles shows not only that the miraculous is possible, but that God still does intervene in our world in awe-inspiring ways. Here’s a unique audiobook that examines all sides of this issue and comes away with a passionate defense for God’s divine action in lives today.

Also available: The Case for Miracles - Spanish edition, kids' edition, and student edition.

Lee Strobel delivers over and over again.

As always, I love Lee's books. Some info does go over the top of my head. But at the end of the day, he does explain things in layman's language.

Incredible examples & appreciation of objections

Apolegetics is useful. But demostrating the supernatural, using data and peer studies is more impactful

in-depth look at hard questions

I found this book very thoroughly researched, and dealing with very hard questions.

--do miracles exist?
-- what if you don't get a miracle ( to name a few)

this author talks to incredibly interesting sources. For example he spoke with a skeptic, atheist who walked away from his faith and is very well known.

He spoke to scientist (literally made my brain hurt) and he spoke to people who are suffering.
(the one chapter he spoke about his suffering watching his wife slowly fade -- was the most powerful for me)

I walked away pondering many things. But one of the things is how we try to put God into a box of how to understand him. We want to control him.
don't limit God.
I highly recommend this book. I know this has changed things in my thought process.

let's see if you believe in miracles.

Miracles Still Happenn

It's a nice reminder that miracles still do happen. Too many people will brush off an event as any but a miracle which is really sad. I believe.

Great for every Christian's toolbag!

Lee Strobel has again created a masterpiece of convincing evidence for the case for miracles. This book includes parts from "A Case for a Creator" and "A Case for Christ", both of which I highly recommend! After listening to his mounting evidence from highly reputable sources, historical record, and scientific evidence, the only way someone could remain an atheist is through blind faith! If you liked this book, I also recommend "I Don't have Enough Faith to be an Atheist" by Norman Geisler and Frank Turek.
