The Captain's Christmas Promise is a very quick story. I assume that there must be other stories about the characters, the book took a little bit to get into because I didn't understand the initial relationships and background of everyone. Having said that I enjoyed it enough that I would look into other possible books in what I assume is a series. The Captain's Christmas Promise was interesting and quick paced. I appreciated that the story had action without any gore.
