Great performance, excellent story wrapped up in proper facts of that time, Nigel tranter is an excellent historian and great at building a story of missing parts of which we know little of, I recommend ed for anyone who likes a great story and historical facts . . ..

Great listening and a fantastic view.
Bruce was probably a more modern type man than 1300 was ready for but Bruce and Wallace together in the same timeline wow.

Great writer, great read, great story, absolutely abysmal audio book.
I had look forward to having this book to listen to and was seriously disappointed. If you are a lover of Scots history I would recommend that you either go read the paper or Kindle version of this trilogy. It is a waste of valuable time and money to get this book. They have omitted some of the most important parts of the story of The Bruce and our struggle for independence.
