Lovely story of WW2 life in the munitions factory

Fabulous follow up to "The Bomb Girls" this book continues with the lives of more munitions girls at the Phoenix factory. Love, loss and happy endings. Beautifully narrated by Anne Dover. Highly recommended!

Feel-good story of friendships

As tends to happen with Daisy's novels, I'm sad to leave the characters behind from this book.
There's 3 main bomb girls whom we really get to know, and their individual stories are equally as important, and have their own resolutions. Yet there is still a cohesive feel to the overall story, linked as it is to the performing of music.
It doesn't matter to me that certain parts of the story are predictable, that happens at times, but it gives a familiarity and comforting feel. And I still wanted to know exactly how things turned out.

Anne Dover narrates this one, and hope she does any future daisy styles books too!!
This is definitely a feel good story, with true friendships seeing the bomb girls through hard times. Really liked it.

Just loved this book

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It reflected life's up and downs during wartime . I wanted the story to continue and was sorry when it came to an end.

I absolutely loved this book. Yes I know, happy ending shmaltz but I don’t care. The characters are great, the writing is great and so is the narrator. Altogether right up my street.

Love conquers all

A lovely heart warming story of love moving mountains and comradeship during the harshest of times amidst such awful conflict and fear yet holding together a friendship that would never die.

Magical

Love these books, it's great escaping back to a time when people looked out for each other & really cared for one another. Ann Dover has a very soothing voice.
