Summary
1539. Anne of Cleves wins the dangerous prize of becoming Henry VIII’s fourth wife. From the start, Anne’s royal blood, education and fierce intelligence count for nothing as the king pursues young Katherine Howard.
Katherine is a pawn in the political manoeuvres of her ambitious family; unprepared for the dangers that await, she steps into their trap. At her side is kinswoman Jane Boleyn, who has served - and betrayed - one queen already: her sister-in-law Anne, who died on Henry’s scaffold. Will Jane betray a second queen to the headsman?
As the three women’s fates entwine in the most volatile court in Europe, each must survive an increasingly tyrannical, murderous king.
With an exclusive afterword written and read by Philippa Gregory, exploring the inspiration behind The Boleyn Inheritance.

The Berlin inheritance
Yes, alexa did it again. Asked her several times to play the Boleyn inheritance and each time she told me she couldnt, or she didn't know that one. But she did play me the Berlin inheritance. Just as she played me the other Berlin girl.
I enjoyed this sequel very much. Yet again I felt the fear and enemies hiding in the shadows. The terrible knowledge that there was nothing to be done to save yourself as no one would tell you what,if anything, you had done wrong. Catherine Howard was not academically clever she didn't stand a chance. The shame the men Inc Henry should have felt. I enjoyed Anne of cleves and as for nosey Parker. She was a product of her time but she enjoyed it all rather to much.
The narrator's again are fantastic. They worked so well individually but as a tag team they are awesome. My complaint is the recording itself. It was a bit quiet and chapters were repeated more than once, which I presume is bad editing.
Now off to listen to Katherine parrs story. No Boleyn in the title so alexa should be fine. Oh alexa, I still don't know what I feel about you. Love hate relationship. Bit like Henry?? Nooooo!

Really enjoyable
This was really enjoyable and very well narrated with the three separate narrators playing each part well. I read the Boleyn Inheritance years ago and really enjoyed it. This was even better than reading the book and I managed to lose myself in it for hours. I would absolutely recommend this.

Ahead of the field
A detailed study of a very small but violent part of the Tudor story as seen through the eyes of a trio of interlinked ladies at the royal court.
This is beautifully written and wonderfully narrated.
Thoroughly recommended.

The Boleyn Inheritance
I couldn’t put it down! My third book in the Tudor Court series as an introduction to author PG. I loved the three different narrators and read the book alongside the audio. Highly recommend!
