About this listen

The final instalment in the Books of Beginning series.

Emma, Michael and Kate are locked in a race against time: to find their parents; to defeat the evil Dire Magnus; and to locate the final Book of Beginning. When all three books are united, their power will be unstoppable.

Embarking on a perilous journey to the land of the dead, Emma is forced to confront terrifying monsters and ghosts. As the fabric of time begins to fray, she becomes the final piece of an extraordinary puzzle.

Only she can master the Book of Death.

Critic reviews

This fantasy trilogy closes with both satisfying finality and the realistic, requisite heartbreak that comes with saying goodbye.
Heartbreaking sacrifices, joyous reunions, and poignant partings round out this rousing old-school fantasy adventure

I've enjoyed this whole series. Fast paced and keeps you wanting to know what happens next - with a satisfying ending. Well worth the listen.

Great end to this trilogy

The story, the story-telling, the characters... I love everything, EVERYTHING about this whole book series. Re-read 5 times now. After first finishing this book, realizing the series was over, I couldn't read for a whole year. Only waiting to stumble over my new favorite. But no book series have ever made me feel this ache and love in my chest and I both bless and curse the author for doing this to me.

The book series that ruined my reading (but good)
