They say opposites attract, but can lightning strike twice?

Rebecca has convinced Arabella to accompany her on a trip to New Orleans. Both women are struggling to figure out their new relationship, as Rebecca gives Arabella the space she requests, and Arabella comes to terms with her unexpected feelings for the younger woman.

Meeting Rebecca’s friend Jenn gives them the chance to learn more about each other, while Jenn starts to fall for her own older woman from out of town.

The second book in the Around the World Series, following on from the smash hit success The Road Ahead.

Having thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series I have been anxiously awaiting this release for some time. The continuation of the romance between the two main characters is sweet and tentative while also managing to be witty and charming. The introduction of the new American characters is seamless and they compliment the English duo wonderfully. The narrator manages the array of female voices superbly, providing distinct differences between them allowing easy identification. The accents are handled very well. Overall a great listen, well worth a credit.

An excellent second installment.

Another interesting book by A E Radley, if you've read her first book the road ahead there is an obvious similar thread in terms of the development of the relationship between a young woman and an older straight woman while a continuation of the story and relationship from the previous book, the new characters are interesting and the different accents are done very well by the narrator, but I must say I preferred the first book, however if you enjoyed the first book I believe youll enjoy this too, a nice light read and enjoyable book with Excellent narration!

another good Radley!

The sequel to 'The Road Ahead' is very disappointing. The narration is poor because the narrator's 'American accent' is dire, and doesn't help an already confused story. We left Arabella and Rebecca at the airport where chaos reigns and flights cancelled (sound familiar) ? The pair have decided to hire a car for the trip (Very familiar) end of Book 1, still as 'friends' !
Book 2 has the pair landing in New Orleans (still friends and no explanation what has happened since the end of Book1 except their status is still 'friends' and the Scotland trip did not happen) ?
We then embark on the ups and lots of downs of their relationship development, it gets a bit monotonous. Enter Jen (Rebecca's friend) and Kathryn ,and the story of their relationship development ( the author has stuck to a theme here).frankly it's all to 'busy' with neither pairing getting the 'airtime' they need to make this a good listen ! The worse part is the 'Very Disappointing ending (can't spoil that by telling) safe to say don't expect a nice well rounded audiobook !

Very Disappointing !
