This was Just the kind of book I was looking for on stoicism, I love the practical application and examples set forth in the book. My only gripe is that it could have been longer, but luckily the author provides more resources on stoicism to delve into in the end. The narration is excellent. Highly recommended!

As the title states, this is the first book about Stoicism I've listened to, so admittedly I don't have much to compare it with. However, it explained in detail the history, ideas and application of the philosophy. The ideas are many, so I will need to listen to those chapters again, and the book recommends further reading, which I found very useful!

A good introduction (or reminder) for Stoics.

This book gets straight down to business and I like how it avoids the lengthy personal anecdotes and diversions found in similar offerings.

As someone who has read many modern Stoic books before there was little new here, however it did offer further reflection on salient points and gave me some reminders of where I have often strayed.

I’d recommend to anyone with an interests in Stoicism.
