Olive and Axel were each other's childhood best friend, first love and biggest heartbreak. Axel leaves Olive behind to pursue his boxing career without realising he was leaving more than his heart behind.

Years later their paths cross and a second chance presents itself. Only Olive has a child and it is only a couple days before she is due to get married.

This romance is full of chemistry, emotion and the angst of transitioning young love to something more mature and sustaining. The couple have a lot to work through but there is no denying the explosive sexual attraction.

Overall this story is both sweet and sexy. It is a modern love story between a gorgeous alpha male and a nerdy girl next door. Quite literally!

Holly Holt is a new to me narrator. I enjoyed this story and found that listening to this narrator made the story pop for me. I enjoy listening to audio, and this one was no different. The story flowed well and I loved Olivia and Axel. Highly recommend it.
