The end is nigh.

The Federation has stood for over 1,000 years, but its time may be at an end. Another Fantastic performance by TGR, but unfortunately the ending to the trilogy is somewhat mediocre, the story quality to me definitely declined and fell over the trilogy.
The post script is certainly interesting as well, I'm surprised it was allowed in by the publisher

This was such a good trilogy and, in my opinion, had all the right ingredients for an addictive successful series. The only downside is, it is now finished.

I do hope we can have more of the same.

Good story, well read by TGR. wrapped up tbe trilogy well. Even if some of the references came over as copying better franchises rather than paying homage.Then Nuttal spent 15 minutes at the end ranting about the political establishment. It devalued the entire trilogy.

Decent trilogy, shame about the rant at the end

It starts slow and gathers moss as it rolls thru a political mire in a vacuum of a space opera. Don't buy this, buy or relisten to Nuttall's Arc Royal series instead but heed warning about book 7 at the end of this review but buy book 7, if Leonardo Da Vinsi wrote scifi he would be jealous of Chris Nuttall and Arc Royal.

I have 23 books by Chris Nuttal, this is one of the 3 bad ones, the other 2 being books 1 and 2 of this trilogy.

That said, the monotone dull naration compliments the story to point of making an boring dirge totally unlistenable

I would return this had I not bought it in a sale a year ago. My worst audible purchase to date including some that I returned.

Christopher G. Nuttall remains my favourite author but even that does not spare him from this review.

Take my advice, buy the Arc Royal series, books 1 to 17 are excellent but be warned book 7 (1st book in 3rd trilogy) starts so slow for first half that you would burst your ear drums to get relief but don't as it explodes in the 2nd half, goes into meltdown in book 8 and goes H Bomb in book 9 making it the outstanding Trilogy in the series to date.

Don't buy this. Buy the Arc Royal series instead.
