I reread this book via audio and loved it just as much as the first time I read- such a brilliant story and the narrators are great. Highly recommend!

Move aside Jupiter and Ace because Lux “I licked it so it’s mine” Weston has entered the chat 🫠 Seriously, if you loved the first two books in the New York Lions series, then you will fall head over heels in love with Lux!! 😍

This was one of my most anticipated releases and to get to read the ARC was so special! This book was everything I hoped it would be AND MORE!! I am firmly in my ✨ Luluverse Era ✨ and I have zero plans on ever leaving it!!

First up, Radley was such a freaking badass!! I loved how her brothers teased her about that, but she truly was. Her confidence got knocked in the worst possible way, and it hurt my heart to see her struggling with normal college girl things. But she was so damn strong, and I loved watching her grow into herself and get her confidence back. I loved how patient Lux was with her, he didn’t push her but he just stood by her side and encouraged her.

Lux is definitely one of my favourites of Lulu’s MMCs (don’t worry Drew and Oz, you’re still up there too 😉) But Lux has definitely burrowed his way into my heart 🫶🏼 He’s such a caretaker, always cooking for the guys and standing up for Radley, but I also loved his goofy side 🤪

Their relationship was so sweet 🥹 Starting out with the Bookstore Meet Cute, and just the gentle way Lux pursued Radley. He was so considerate of her feelings and her past, and once she let him in, he fell hard and fast! 🫠

Millie was such an amazing friend. That girl would have fought anyone who tried to hurt her girl, and I just loved the bond they shared. I’m so excited for her to get a book (hopefully with a certain player 😉) because I just NEED more of her in my life!!

Casa Greyskull banter was top tier *cough* Glitter Bomb *cough* I love all of these boys so much! As usual, the found family was amazing, and I loved seeing the little snippets of what Tanner and Parker’s books might include! 😍 The Luluverse all ties in together so well, and I just loved that we got to see Kitt as a professor and Barclay doing his Bat Dog thing!! 😍

I love this series so much, and with each new book I love it even more. Lux and Radley are so cute together. I loved how protective Lux was. That man absolutely worshipped Radley and she worshipped him back. I was hooked on this story and listened to it in one day!!

the Narrators were perfect for bringing the characters to life. I can't wait to jump straight into the next book in the series.

Lux Weston you’ve stolen my heart in The Baller!!! His and Radley’s story was so sweet and touching and just perfect, I found myself with a huge smile on my face throughout my read. From their meet cute beginning in a bookstore where neither recognised the other to his heroic attempt of rescuing Radley from the attentions of a campus creeper which resulted in Lux and his three friends having their collective asses handed to them by a Captain America lookalike aka a secret service agent – it turned out Radley was the president’s daughter but hey, it got her number and what’s a couple of bruises, real and egos when the heart wants what it wants. Radley was slow to trust after a bad experience, so their romance was definitely slow burn, but Lux was just such a golden retriever of a hero she didn’t stand a chance as he woo’ed her via text and their friendship deepened into love. I loved how he encouraged her to find herself and their banter was both sweet and spicy. Bringing humour to this slightly emotional story was Lux’s bromance with his teammates and flatmates and their slightly musketerish vibe who going on the ‘all for one’ principle quickly drew Radley into their fold and begun plotting revenge on her nemesis. From Radley’s BFF Millie and Lux’s lion pack to the secret service team, all the secondary characters added their own little something to the story and I’m hoping the future holds more from Millie and Tanner.

This story by itself was fantastic but the audio took The Baller to a whole new level, mainly due to the excellent performances from CJ Bloom and Chris Brinkley. While I am familiar with CJ’s work and rate her highly as an artiste, Chris was new to me, and I loved the character of Lux so much I was worried he wouldn’t do him justice, but he was perfect sounding exactly how I had imagined this character would sound. Together they did an amazing job bringing Lux and Radley to life.
