I was reading the ebook but when I realised the audiobook was out I rushed to buy it. Love love love this book it’s my first from Maggie Cole and it won’t be my last. Riggs is everything but I can’t help want to slap him for what he did to Blakely it’s going to take a lot to redeem himself so I’m off to read The Vow now as it’s not out on audio yet .

I finished reading as well as listening to “The Auction” and I took sometime to comprehend my thoughts. Its safe to say I am awed.... Its not anything I was even remotely expecting. It surpasses all the benchmarks I had earlier even for books having BDSM components. It is a concoction of powerful passion, beauty, understanding, compassion, love, and devotion. There is this strength of loyalty as you peel back each layer. I can go on and on but I guess the reader/ listener should internalize this by oneself.

I have always been in love with the voice of this specific duo wonderful narrators. There is no doubt that this was another addition to each one of their long lists of wins. They were brilliant and brought out the characters impeccably. The depth and passion in the voice of Connor Crais matched that of Ava Lucas, in ways, I cannot express.

Thanks to the whole team , kudos to Maggie Cole and the narrators for bringing out this presentation for us. It was not just a story, but an experience. I cannot wait for the second part!!

Maggie Cole always captures my attention with her books. This one is no exception. The first in the Club Indulgence Duet, we meet Blakely. Running from her father, she breaks free from her kidnappers only to find herself in an auction to be a submissive. Not realizing what she is in for, she is bought by her teenage crush and father's partner, Riggs. Riggs had helped her father build his empire, and found out he was being double crossed. Now seeking his own revenge, and fulfilling the one desire he has had for years, he will use Blakely. A true dom, he wants complete submission and needs to prove to the club that he has it within two weeks of his purchase of her. And our story begins. There is so much to this story, layers of history and looks to the future. Riggs is an obsessive man, knowing what he wants, but doesn't want to give into his feelings. Blakely wears her heart on her sleeve, her love always evident. But will it be enough once the truth of Riggs's betrayal is exposed? And what will become of Blakely's father? I loved all the different relationships, from the controlling parents, concerned with appearance and greed to the true feelings of Riggs and Blakely. The story isn't over, and the cliffhanger has me wanting to hear what is going to happen to this family and couple! It's exciting, sensual, and spicy!

How could it be better? Connor Crais and Ava Lucas are the story tellers, and boy do they tell the story! Crais is the alpha male, dominant and confused all at the same time. I love how he can give that overpowering feeling with a hint of vulnerability, creating a character with depth. Lucas as Blakely gave me a little music as Blakely's writing music, and I love her feisty portrayal of her. She keeps that spunky vibe even with her submission! I can't wait for second part of this duet!

I'm a big fan of maggie's books, she pulls you in with great characters, a fantastic well written storyline and phenomenal choice in narrator's for her books who always give us a truly exceptional performance and this book delivers in spades. it's so good I'm going straight to the second book, even though its almost 1am!
