Surrounded by enemies and able to trust no one, Harry barrels across the globe and discovers the myth of King Arthur is far more real than anyone ever imagined. Suspend all belief and enjoy until the ridiculous ending. Well read but please learn how to say Gloucester in English.

Nonsense but moderately entertaining

Undemanding but well performed listening. This really is like a low-energy Dan Brown story. And either the author knows absolutely nothing about handling ancient books and scrolls, or he has created the world's most disrespectful thief. Every time a medieval book was handled without gloves, or a scroll carelessly ripped off whatever it'd been rolled around and passed from hand to hand, I cringed.
Very long unnecessary descriptions and discussions, typical of early books in a series. This does mean fortunately mean that while listening one can go make a cuppa or change focus without missing much.

Dan Brown on valium

I thought the story was quite good, a little drawn out in places, but still good.

The narrator is a good choice. He flows easily between the different characters, and is easy to listen too.

Gloucester has a novel interpretation, and we don't have 'highways' in the UK. A little research by the author and narrator would have been good here. It doesn't detract from the story though.

A pretty good listen

I really enjoyed this book and the escape into a fictional and in this crazy world maybe even plausible adventure.
The narrator was wonderful and enhanced the experience. Too many audiobooks are ruined by terrible narration.
Really well done.

Enjoyable escape

A poorer version of Dan Brown. Our hero very conveniently found everything he was looking for even though others have been searching for the same thing for a millennium.
Writing good and performance good but the story let this one down.

Not great.
