Summary

What eternal bachelor and Wall Street mogul Damien Bigg wants more than anything is a boy of his own to cherish, but after years of heartbreak, he's given up hope. No boy will ever love him as much as they love his wallet.

Which is true up until he meets his best friend's son, Matthew Gwynn—a timid single dad almost twenty years his junior who Damien knows he cannot live without.

No matter what it takes, Damien will love him, protect him, and spoil him. And one day, if he's lucky, maybe sweet Matthew will be the answer his lonely heart has been looking for all along.

The Answer is the sixth and final book in the Single Dad Support Group series, in which a close-knit group of single dads find their HEAs one by one. It features not a single dad, but a single Daddy, and the young man he falls for who will end up changing his life for good. Throughout the series you'll find humor, heat, and the possibility of male pregnancy. Each book follows a different couple and ends in a happily ever after—no cliffhangers, guaranteed.

This is a great last story in this fun series by Piper Scott. We get to know Damian/ Knot my problem much better. He finds his boy closer by, Matthew and he are a fun couple with sweet Emily. Ofcourse we a lot of the other SDS in this book. This might be the funniest book in the series. I burst out laughing out loud a fair bit
Narration by Michael Ferraiuolo is so good and consistent throughout the series.
If I could give more stars I would.

Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted the audio file of this book.

Excuse me, a moment please, while I have a hissy fit.

NO! No, no no no nope! I don't wanna! I don't wanna write my review for this book, because that will mean this series has finished, and I don't want it to be!! *insert wailing noises. *insert stomping foot noises. *insert throwing toys out the pram noises. *insert noises along the lines of "I'll scream and scream until I'm sick"!

And breathe.

So, now I've had my hissy fit, spat my dummy and all that jazz, here's what I thought about this last book in the Single Dad Support Group series.

While listening to this series, KnotMyProblem has been a bit of an enigma. He hasn't mentioned a child, at all and we get the whole sorry story about how he came to be in the group! And he wasn't very nice to Aaron (The Proposal, book 2), Gage's partner.(That made me chuckle, that Damian won't use his name!) But here? Here we get Damian in all his glory. And the fall out is massive, given the metric f ton of glitter that went into this book!

I mean, not only did Damian glitter-bomb Matthew's room in Fiji, but when Damian gets his revenge on the idiot at work?? I was walking, and I had to stop, sit on the side of the road and just bask in all the glory that is KnotMyProblem on the warpath! It was truly glorious.

While Damian does all this, he also falls in love with a boy we met when he was just 16 years old, alone and pregnant. Matthew is ALL grown up now, his daughter is 4 years old and Damian is JUST the man for him, just the Daddy for him: the one he didn't know he needed.

And I think that's what I loved most about this. Matthew did NOT question his feeling for Damian, he did not question when Damian tells him about his need to look after his boy, and he did not, not once, question the love between them.

I could understand why Gwynning (Matthew's dad) does what he does when he found out, but I cried a little for him when he talks to Matthew about his relationship with Damian. It was quite an emotional chat.

Michael Ferraiuolo narrates, as he does with the whole series. I loved the narration, I really did. His voices for all the characters are consistant all the way through. I loved how he gets across all the emotions of the characters. But I equally love the way he narrates the chats in the group.

I have no doubt I would have loved this series had I read it, but the narration takes it to a whole new level.

I have loved a lot with this group of men. I have cried and cheered, I have swore and sobbed. And I have loved every minute of these guys. It's always, ALWAYS sad when a series ends, but I seem to be especially attached to these guys!

Thank you, Ms Scott for writing about these guys, I truly loved them. And than YOU Mr Ferraiuolo for bringing to life.

5 stars for the narration
5 stars for the book
5 stars overall, but really I want to give the whole series elevenity-billion stars!

I found this to be absolutely adorable! There were ups and downs along the way, but for the most part, I found this book with Matthew and Damien to be fun, low angst, and heart-warming.

One part that had me confused for a lot of the story was trying to keep their screen names and real names straight since they referred to each other as both, but mainly shortened versions of their screen names. It was difficult for me to keep track of.

I also would have liked a bit more angst where their actual relationship was concerned, but thought the Daddy bit held enough weight to add some spice between them.

Overall, this was a great series and Michael Ferraiuolo was fantastic, as always!

I really enjoyed this series!

Despite getting to know the other single dads over the course of this series, Damien (aka KnotMyProblem) remained more mysterious than the rest. I was so excited to finally figure out what he'd been looking for all along, and I have to say that his book did not disappoint! With an outstanding audio performance from Michael Ferraiuolo, it was easy to get swept up in Damien's vacation fling with Matthew. I'll admit that I thought Damien was a bit of a jerk in the previous books, but seeing things from his perspective made me realize just how wrong I was. Damien was such a sweetie at heart, and the way he doted on Matthew was absolutely adorable. Their romance was deliciously forbidden, and I'll never say no to a good Daddy/boy dynamic. Matthew's innocent attitude and eagerness to please his Daddy pushed all my buttons, and I seriously cannot believe how hot these two were together. Best of all, this story didn't end when the vacation concluded--I actually enjoyed the romance more after the two of them left Fiji because it gave me a sense for how they could make something work together in real life.

As sweet and emotional as the romance between Damien and Matthew was, it was everything else that made their story so special. From the hilarious glitter war to the bond these friends shared, it was so much fun to see all of their lives settling into a happily-ever-after. As I watched not one, but two happy couples make it down the aisle, it really put things in perspective for me how much these men have grown and changed over the past several books. Though Damien was the last of the single dads to fall in love, his story was arguably the most touching and worth the wait because of how long it took for him to get there. Damien and Matthew didn't have it easy--from work drama to managing a long distance relationship to having to come clean to their friends and family about their relationship, these two had every reason to call it quits. The fact that they stuck by each other through all the chaos showed me how lasting their love truly was.

I had been waiting for Damien's (KnotMyProblem's) story since the first book and Piper Scott did not disappoint! If you've read, or better yet, listened to the previous books—and if you haven't, why not? They're all kinds of awesome!—you'll know that Knot is a bit of a mystery man. He doesn't live in Aurora and he doesn't seem to have a kid, which turns out to be true, seeing as he joined the SDSG by mistake and they decided to let him stay after they found out.

I felt so bad for Damien's awful work situation, it really made sense that he needed his friends' support to make it through the day and to release all that stress through humor. Were some of their pranks over the top? Yes, but this is fiction, and it was all in good fun. It certainly gave me more than a few chuckles. LOL. The glitter bomb wars and how they helped Damien both in his personal life and at work was a great touch. And Matthew was all kinds of adorable and fit so well in Damien's life. Damien was just the perfect Daddy for his sweet boy and I just adored how amazing he was with Emily, Matthew's daughter.

Michael Ferraiuolo did such a fantastic job with all books in the series, and The Answer wasn't the exception. He has amazing comedic timing and made this group of friends come to life for me.

All in all, an amazing conclusion to the series. Fun, sweet, super hot, and filled with all kinds of shenanigans. Definitely an audiobook (and a series!) I'll be listening to again. Super recommendable!

Damien FTW!!!
