My kids for the last several years have suspected that I have ADHD. I dismissed the comments, but when I saw this book, I thought I would at least education myself. Boy was I surprised - So many of the things mentioned in the book describe me to a T! As one example, oversharing has always been a challenge for me, especially in high-stress situations. This audiobook explained it and helped me understand why I do it and how to manage it. I’m now more mindful in conversations and feel less anxious afterward. I really respect this book and how it can help others like me, who have questions that this book can answer.

ADHD affects me more that I realized and this book really made me aware of areas in my life I hadn't attributed to it. The book was very well researched and I felt like the author was speaking right to me. The sections on rejection sensitivity and emotional regulation especially resonated with me. I appreciated how the strategies were realistic, not overwhelming. I definitely recommend this book!

What I found that distinguishes this book is its focus on emotional regulation and relationship dynamics—areas that I have found are often underrepresented in ADHD literature. The conversational delivery and open tone make abstract concepts tangible. I found this to be a practical guide filled with tools for long-term behavioral change. This is a well written and narrated book.

It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized that I experienced some ADHD symptoms, I've surrounded myself with resources and was pleased to find this one. I started listening to the audio book during my morning commute, and it’s helped inspire my day. Instead of rushing in with anxiety, I’m calmer and more intentional. The book's tips are bite-sized and are actually actionable. It’s one of the best ADHD resource I’ve found and I really enjoyed listening to it.
