About this listen

Sometimes one moment can change your life forever…

Rebecca Riley has always been a bit of a pushover. When her glamorous boss, Vanessa, asks her to jump, she doesn’t just ask how high… she asks if her boss would like her to grab a coffee on the way back down!

So whilst overseeing the renovation of Vanessa’s beautiful countryside home, the last thing Rebecca ever expected was to be mistaken for her boss – or that she would even consider going along with it! Far away from the bustling city and her boss’s demanding ways, could she pretend to be Vanessa and swap lives, just for a little while?

I enjoyed listening to this nice story of Rebecca an events organiser, pretending to be her ruthless boss Vanessa in the village of 'Little Heaton'.

It felt like city girl gets sent to a little village by her boss, falls in love with the town, the people, the animal sanctuary and of course a man named Oliver!
It reminded me of a Hallmark film to be honest.

The narrator did her job well voicing lot's of different characters.

I bought this in the Autumn Sale but I would not have spent a credit on this book although saying that it is worth a listen 🌠

I rather enjoyed this book, I would recommend it. Easy to listen to on long drives and walking the dog. I’ll look for more stories from this author.
