About this listen

Keeping away from Michael Devlin should be easy. He's too old for her. Too jaded. And completely forbidden. The only problem is, he rocks her world . . .

When Grace tries to steal Michael's cab in the middle of a torrential downpour, their chemistry is instant. And after one unforgettable night in his hotel room, it looks like life is finally going her way. But in the morning a shocking revelation rips her world apart, and she has to leave him for good without saying goodbye.

A year later, Grace is living quietly in her small home town when she sees Michael storming toward her. He demands answers, so she tells him exactly why she left that morning. Michael agrees they should avoid each other, but he's staying in her small town for a few months and not bumping into each other is almost impossible.

He's not supposed to touch her. Or kiss her until they're both breathless and needy.

And he's definitely not supposed to make her fall for him.

But forbidden fruit always tastes the sweetest. At least until you get found out . . .

Contains mature themes.

Really enjoyed the story and this audiobook. Such a great book and I laughed and cried. Wish it had been dual voices however the actress is great and acted it well

Gorgeous story

I love this story, the slow burn and built up. The interpretation could have benefited from two characters, but it was good.

Slow and steady

This is so frustrating! I had to stop listening with about an hour and half to go because I could tell the heroine was going to act incredibly stupidly (not for the first time in the story) so that the author could engineer a third act breakup. The whole premise of this plot is ludicrous. There is absolutely nothing taboo about two step cousins who hardly knew each other growing up - and in fact don't recognise each other when they first hook up - falling in love. That they kept this a secret at first is understandable but this "secret relationship" trope got strung out ad infinitum, and the reactions of people to finding out about it were way over the top. I finally had to bow out when the wet blanket of a heroine was on the verge of throwing away the man she allegedly loves because her dad was being a right plonker. what a waste of a credit!

I had to dnf
