About this listen

Jamie

In one moment, I found the man of my dreams. In another moment, I lost him.

Without Cooper, my world was fractured, and I made sure his twin brother knew it. I unleashed all my pain onto Caiden, ignoring the fact that he wasn't to blame. Afterwards, I spent three years pretending I'd moved on, pretending that I'd left the past behind me. I became so good at it. No one saw the heartbroken man behind the mask.

Until one phone call brings Caiden back into my life, seeing him again opens old wounds, forcing us both to be painfully honest and making me question everything I believe about love.

Caiden

Cooper isn't just my twin; he's my best friend and a better person than I could ever be.

I regret all the choices I made that hurt him, but none so much as the ones that led to the worst night of our lives. For three years, I punished myself until it all became too much, and I made a decision that I hoped would bring me closer to him. Instead, it only brought Jamie Durand back into my life.

I've tried to hate him ever since he and Cooper fell hopelessly in love, but I never could. Because secretly, even though it made me a terrible brother, I wanted Jamie to look at me the way he did Cooper. Now he's back in my life, and there's something between us that neither of us can deny.

Only, it's very possible we'll both end up hurt again, and I'm not sure either of our hearts can take that.

This was heavy, emotional and utterly heartbreaking. Even when I knew what was to come - I still wasnt prepared and I ended up crying throughout the story.
Yes it hurts, the characters are put through A LOT, and its messy because theyre only human. Its what makes this story so beautiful - that theyre not perfect and their problems aren't magically fixed by loving each other.
This story has put me through the wringer and left me emotionally raw, but I loved it and couldn't put it down.

The characters are awesome, well shaped and believable. The story is very emotional, but beautiful. A very good take on love, one you dont see often in such books, about love not being this unique once in a lifetime sort of exprience, but something else, much better and complex.

Beautiful and emotional

I knew from the reviews that this will be hard.. and did I take the warnings.. nope... im glad I didnt ,I cried ugly for most of the book,it was beautiful,it was sad,it was heartbreaking but it was also heartwarming. Its so real and raw and I am happy I gave it a chance even tho I avoid listening to books that emotionally wreck me,I was put together in the end with HEA they deserved 🥰 Narrators brought it to life better than any other would I feel the characters suited the voices and vice versa, yes book was emotional but the intimate scenes were so real and so hot 🥵 5 stars all around

Reread as audiobook - wonderful narration.
Story - a beautifully painful book with so many heartbreaking moments... and such an unbelievable amount of love. The mental health struggles, the grief, and the characters trying to be there for each other while drowning... Not to speak of the stunning chapter in Cooper's POV. There are a LOT of triggers. This book has created a big reading hangover.
