About this listen

Murdoch’s past has finally come crashing down on him. His former girlfriend. His Family. He’s been happily avoiding them for ages, trying to live something close to a normal life. But now he’s been drawn back into another one of their ludicrous attempts to bring about the end of all things.

Chase has spent the past year just trying to get away. Trying to escape the memories that won’t stop following him, the moment when his life collapsed. He’s traveled around the world trying to stay ahead of it all, but those final moments may be catching up with him at last.

Anne is tired of living in the past. She’s finally looking to the future and embracing her destiny. She’s going to lead the Family forward on their greatest, final crusade to destroy the hated Machine of their long-time adversary.

Their paths will intersect in the middle of nowhere, on an uncharted island where the walls of reality are thin...and an apocalyptic threat is tearing its way through.

Perfect end to the trilogy. Masterfully narrated. I'm going to start them again..... More please

Absolutely brilliant...

Always look forward to these. Ideal background story when I'm working or driving.

It's not going to win the Booker prize but it's a good, workmanlike story that dots the i's and crosses the t's

Another enjoyable Threshold romp

This feels like the next chapter in the story, but definitely not the end. There is more to come, hopefully.

Seemed a little rushed at the end, and could have closed out the last chapters by taking things a little further. I won't say too much or there would be spoilers, but this is definitely a well told progression of the tale and if you enjoyed fold, then this is definitely worth a listen.

Good progression of the threshold story

I don’t think the three books are perfect but they are fun and the performance of the reading is brilliant. Each book follows the same template and suffers from that, everything happens all in the last hour, everything is looking hopeless then someone has an idea which they put into practice but it fails then in the last few minutes they realise they missed a missing part which works and they escape with seconds to spare, happens all the time in movies. Still fun though

Enjoyable listening

Another good novel in the series that began with '14'. More detail on The Family and the Sqwhales. Not quite as tension building as the previous stories but we all know that secret is out now anyway. Nevertheless, completely enjoyable and had me hooked from the start. Clines is a great writer and Ray Porter is a fine storyteller.
