Summary

Scott Brick brings to life a heart-stopping, critically acclaimed, and best-selling international thriller.

Even after they retire, crisis negotiators are haunted by the principle rule of dealing with violent terrorists: Just because the hostages have been released, it doesn't mean it's over.

Warning! Highly addictive escapism disguised as fiction. Only commit to this experience if you can tolerate pure adrenaline.

Publishers Weekly review: "The audio production of Khalifa’s twisty thriller begins with a terrorist takeover of a Manhattan skyscraper and features a spirited reading by Brick. Former FBI agent Alex Blackwell is dragged from retirement to handle a hostage situation in a New York City high-rise.

"Seth, the terrorist leader, demands a safe escape and a trade—the kidnapped daughter of an influential senator for the release of two bombers imprisoned in Egypt. Once the deal is struck and completed, Blackwell vows to hunt down Seth, and his quest is interrupted by chapters featuring Sam Morgan, a Southern California software developer who’s lured to a new job in New York City.

"The way the stories connect is clever and shocking. The plot hops around the globe, giving Brick’s international accents a workout. Brick’s clipped, precise performance makes the most of the surprising finale. The result is a totally satisfying audiobook."

Can't wait for the next one.

A really enjoyable read. There is another book mentioned at the end so hopefully won't have to wait too long. As usual Scott Brick does a brilliant job as narrator.

Terminal Rage

I accidentally picked up this book. It's not a genre I'm interested in reading. However, I have to admit, it was quite a clever plot which materialised in an interesting way.

I received a copy of this book for free of my own choosing and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Karma!

Terminal Rage by A.M. Khalifa is an incredible listen. I received the book as a gift, and was blown away by the twists and turns and manipulations the author wrote. Scott Brick is incredible bringing the characters to life with this listen. He is perfect with his inflections, and only adds to the story. Many aspects of the story are thought provoking and terrifying at the same time. I enjoyed the flashbacks between past and present, how the hunt was on. I never saw the end coming. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

The narrator ruins the story

I couldn’t take listening to any more of this. The narrator reads it so mono-tonal that I just couldn’t engage fully with the story. Shame, as the story seemed interesting.
