Summary

"The Sinners and Saints series is out of this world mesmerizing and each book leaves you hungover! I felt every emotion of Tempting Devil to the depths of my soul!" (BookHavenBookBlog)

I sold my soul to the devil.

Blair

Hard times prove who’s a survivor and who’s not. Me? I’m a survivor.

The plan was perfect: steal one of his cars for a payout to set us up for life. All while getting back at him for tormenting me from the moment I first stepped foot in stuck-up Silver Lake High School.

But he caught me red-handed. What’s worse, a jail sentence or becoming the devil’s favorite toy?

My devious monster made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Now I’m selling everything to him. Even my soul.

The secret to being carefree is love nothing.

Devlin

The puppets are fooled into believing my game of pretend. But the way she looks at me has always pierced beneath my skin. Like she knows. She’s a gutter rat - how could she possibly understand?

I vowed to break her the first time. When I catch her stealing my car, it’s clear she hasn’t learned her lesson. She won’t escape my wrath again.

Ready to play a game, little thief? The rules are simple: My way is law.

Note: Tempting Devil is book two of the Sinners and Saints series but can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. The Devil and the Thief

I loved this bully romance even though Devlin wasn't a very likable character. Blair has been bullied and tormented by Devlin all throughout high school but this year things are brought to a whole new level. The story is emotional, captivating and intense. It kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning all the way until the end. I love that we not only get Blair's point of view, but also Devlin's. It makes it easier to understand him and eventually like him by the end. Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher both did an amazing job with this duet narration and really brought these characters to life. 🎧Pink Flamingo Productions, The Flock Reviewer

Enemies and bully romance

Enemies to lovers bully romance. This is Devlin and Blair's story, their individual stories are quite interesting and intriguing, the plot started strong and had a great interesting refreshing side, but somehow I missed something. The narrators Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher did a great job narrating it, and I am a lover of this trope so definitely entertaining, I might have liked it more than the first in the series, will love to hear the next one.

Loved it.

This book was better than the first. I loved both Devlin and Blair they both come with their own baggage and problems and it makes the book all the better. I love that this book is done in dual narration. 🎧 PInkFlamingoProductions 🎧AudioObsession

I was given this audiobook via #Flock Review promo code at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This can be listened to as a standalone despite being book 2 in the series (and the storyline is significantly improved from Wicked Saint) the chemistry between Blair and Devlin is palpable. Devil Boy Devlin finds Blair after hours with her hands all over his body-his cars body that is. Before long, he can't stop thinking about having his hands all over HERS. Unfortunately for Blair, the failed attempt at Grand Theft Devlins Auto leaves her at his mercy when he makes her sign a contract agreeing to be HIS in any way that he decides in exchange for the payments she needs (to fund her mothers medical care) at first he's just hell bent on destroying and toying with the trailer park charity case at his school... but then he begins to uncover more and more about why she needs the money, about her home life, and when his blackmail & her debts escalates to private medical rooms and her having to play 'House' he wishes more than anything that the affection hes paying her for was real. I really enjoyed the dual narration in this story.

Bully to the max!

Blair sold her soul to the devil not realizing just how bad things could be.. but her options were limited. She didn't really have a choice in the matter and well survival and all. Devlin is the villain in this story.. the devil himself. He admits it freely, he knows.. It's no secret. He just can't help himself... however, there is more to him than that he just refuses to show it. He knows that his pawns have no idea what his life is like, they believe his lies and the front he puts up. The problem... Blair sees straight through him, and him her. They both see the more underneath that they try to keep hidden. Devlin vowed to break Blair, when he catches her stealing his car he realizes it's time to up the ante. The game has gotten more severe, more intense, more... just more. The dynamic between these two is tough to say the least, there is attraction obviously but they both loathe each other so thoroughly that they can't imagine there being anything other than hate. The torture and heartache experienced is cruel and real. I wanted to shake these two so many times. I despised the fact that they couldn't see the truth and couldn't get past their own stubbornness to admit the truth, not even to themselves. BUT it was realistic. It's true, it happens. People are scared to admit feelings, especially at that age. Even though they are both wise beyond their years they are still teenagers. I loved Blair and all her fire even with the horrible hand life has dealt her, she has things Devlin has only ever dreamed of even though she thinks it's him who has things she has only ever dreamed of. On the outside he has the perfect life, but that isn't always the case. Devlin was harder to fall for, he was cruel and mean for the fun of being on top, yet there is a reason for it all. I fell for him eventually, but it wasn't easy.. he was so harsh, but yet I understood it and once I fell I swooned HARD! Once he finally let himself out it was beautiful. It made my heart so happy and I wouldn't have wanted things to play out any other way. This story is amazing. Veronica Eden has a way with character development that makes them so real to me. I feel like I grew up with these characters and loved them as I would a real person. Well written and thought out. Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher did an amazing job with these characters. This was my first time listening to either of them and I enjoyed it very much.

What a handsome devil!

I was engaged with this story from the start. Bullying is not good by any aspect but the way Devlin learned to love the enemy is kinda epic. Blair is very reserved and strong against every blow life has given her. To forgive shows just how strong one is and Blair is young but mature and an awesome girl. Their chemistry is pff the charts! You need to be prepared for this book, it was hard to put it down. Kuddos to the narrators. I loved the way they worked together. Audiobook Obsession reviewer

Excellent

Blair is a survivor she’s no stranger to hardship and doing what it takes to survive and if that means she steals a car from Devlin her tormentor from the minute she set foot in Silver Lake High. Things don’t go quite to plan as he catches her red handed and lays down an ultimatum he’ll call the police or she can become his puppet and he’ll pay her for it. I love the chemistry between Blair and Devlin you can feel it from the start and her defiance towards him even though she knows she has to do what he says. Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher narrated this perfectly . #AudiobookObsession #PinkFlamingoProductions

Great Listen!

I have a love/hate relationship with Devlin. I mean he’s a complete and total jerk with no redeeming qualities. Or so I thought. As the story goes on, you really get to see the vulnerable side of Devlin and you get to understand, in a way, why he is the way he is. When he finally realizes that he doesn’t hate Blair, he’s actually really sweet. And when Blair needs him the most, he’s there. The chemistry between the two is undeniable and hot af 🔥🔥. Veronica Eden definitely knows how to write a bully romance and bring the heat! Meg & Michael did a fantastic job narrating! 🎧AudiobookObsessionReviewer 🦩PinkFlamingoProductions

Twisted Bully Romance w/ Some Scorching Scenes...

Tempting Devil is a twisted bully romance focused on Devlin, the popular bad boy, ruler of the school, whose parents don't have time for him, and Blair, a girl who doesn't fit in at the school due to her lack of money and lack of status. When Blair finds herself even more down her luck due to her mother's health issues and mounting bills, she finds herself considering things she never would before, which puts her right in the path of Devlin...and things will never be the same. What starts off as a way for Blair to earn some money, even if she has to be at Devlin's beck and call to get it, turns in to much more than either of them could have ever expected. Unfortunately, both have a whole lot of baggage and trust issues, causing each person to doubt whether anything between them could actually be real. I struggled a little bit at first with both main characters as Devlin was over the top jerky and Blair seemed too weak, and I was not sure how they would ever realistically be able to come together romantically. Having said that, they both grew on me and I think the author did a great job showing growth in both characters throughout the course of the story/book to where their relationship not only seemed believable but I also found myself rooting for them. I was engaged and invested in this story line from the start. I did not want to stop listening. I think this was my first listen by both Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher. I overall found them both to be enjoyable and would like to listen to more of their work in the future. #PinkFamingoProductions #TheFlock

Enjoyable listen!

I really enjoyed this audiobook even more than book 1. I liked the spunkiness of the heroine Blair and liked that she stood up to the hero Devlin even if she did sell her humiliation for a price. Devlin at first seems like a typical rich bully until we hear his inner thoughts and see he is a lonely neglected teen whose parents inexplicably stopped caring about him and leave him for work weeks at a time. It explains his outer bravado and some of his bad behavior. Devlin and Blair's history of bad blood wasn't fully explored in this book but you were able to follow along and understand it through the recap given. We also learn their history is deeper than even they realize. As Devlin and Blair play out their wicked games with each other they both begin to fall for each other something neither of them expected to do. This changes everything and they try to navigate their new waters with uncertainty and distrust still in the margins as old hurts and wounds still have them in their grips. The narration was excellent and duet style was perfect for this book. Can't wait for book 3 Thea and Bishop's story! Pink Flamingo Productions Audiobook Obsession

Blackmail was never so hot!

This story starts out with Blair trying to steal Devlin's car. She gets caught and blackmailed by Devlin. Blair's family is down on their luck. Her mom works herself the death to cover her father's debts. Her Father took off and left them with all the bills. Devlin is the alpha asshole but as the story progresses we see that he life is not the greatest. His parents are never around and they are not loving or nurturing. Devlin is so miserable in his life that he takes it out on others. The one he takes it out the most on is Blair. He blackmailers her into playing a game with him. He gives her money to do embarrassing thing or degrading things. He only pays her if she completes the task. This put these two characters at odds through most of the book. Blair is a very strong character and never really breaks even though Devil pushes her to her limit. This book does have a HEA and so really hot love scenes. My fav books are duel narration. I love that Micheal does all the boy parts and Meg does all the girl ones. They do an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. Veronica is a very good writer and she really makes to care for Devlin, even though he is a total ass. I can't wait for book 3. #VIPFlockReviewer #PinkFlamingoProductions #AudioObsessionReviewer

Well Worth the Credit!

The difference between this high school bully, romance book and others is the fact that this bully is actually a nice guy. Mean? Yes. Broken? Yes. Hungry for someone to love him? A big yes! I think this is one of the main reasons why it’s hard to hate him even when he is being so mean to Blair. It broke my heart to read how he was neglected at home in his huge house. No amount of money cannot make up the emptiness of being alone. The arrangement that he made with Blair was just his need of a connection. Blair was easy to like as well. I loved the relationship she had with her mom and the fact that she would do anything to take care of her. I know it’s not always the child’s responsibility to care for the parents, but she had to in this case. It made you want to root for her even more. Then, there is a relationship between Blair and Devlin. The friendship that grew between them before they even started to become physical with each other was sweet. They were both very likable and you wanted the best for them. I think I even liked this book better than the first one, and the first one was fantastic. I’m looking forward to listening to Bishop’s story. This was the first time I have heard anything narrated by Meg and Michael. Listening to them made it feel like you were actually watching a movie in your head. They brought the emotions out so well and I loved the duet style. This was very entertaining and I’ll recommend it over and over again. It is well worth the credit.

Wishing on the stars

This is the second book I've read/listened to by Veronica Eden. I enjoyed it as much as book one. Although this is a great standalone, book one enhances the story. Devlin and Blair have heartaches to overcome. It takes time to get there, and after quite a bit of bullying, they finally find healing. I love his nickname, sticky fingers, for her. It makes me smile. This is a great series and I look forward to the next book! Michael Gallagher and Meg Sylvan are excellent narrators! They made a wonderful team. So much emotion went into the performance. Definitely favorite narrators of mine. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer #PinkFlamingoProductions

Bully Romance

Tempting Devil by Veronica Eden is a dark new adult high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher. This is the second book in the Sinners and Saints series and can be read as a standalone. The book does come with a warning "This mature new adult romance contains dubious situations, bullying, blackmail, power imbalance, crude language, and intense sexual/violent content that some readers might find triggering or offensive. Please proceed with caution." This is the second book of Veronica's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I absolutely loved the relationship between Blair and Devlin. Their relationship started off terrible but in the end you couldn't help but root for them. I can't wait for the next book in the series Ruthless Bishop to be released on audible so I can get Thea and Connor's story. Meg and Michael did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future. I would highly recommend this book if you like dark romances, bully romances, or enemies to lovers. The Flock Team Reviewer Audiobook Obsession VIP Reviewer
