Summary

"The Sinners and Saints series is out of this world mesmerizing and each book leaves you hungover! I felt every emotion of Tempting Devil to the depths of my soul!" (BookHavenBookBlog)

I sold my soul to the devil.

Blair

Hard times prove who’s a survivor and who’s not. Me? I’m a survivor.

The plan was perfect: steal one of his cars for a payout to set us up for life. All while getting back at him for tormenting me from the moment I first stepped foot in stuck-up Silver Lake High School.

But he caught me red-handed. What’s worse, a jail sentence or becoming the devil’s favorite toy?

My devious monster made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Now I’m selling everything to him. Even my soul.

The secret to being carefree is love nothing.

Devlin

The puppets are fooled into believing my game of pretend. But the way she looks at me has always pierced beneath my skin. Like she knows. She’s a gutter rat - how could she possibly understand?

I vowed to break her the first time. When I catch her stealing my car, it’s clear she hasn’t learned her lesson. She won’t escape my wrath again.

Ready to play a game, little thief? The rules are simple: My way is law.

Note: Tempting Devil is book two of the Sinners and Saints series but can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. This audiobook is a dark new adult high school bully romance recommended for listeners 18 or older and contains mature themes and content that some listeners might find triggering or offensive. The Devil and the Thief

I loved this bully romance even though Devlin wasn't a very likable character. Blair has been bullied and tormented by Devlin all throughout high school but this year things are brought to a whole new level. The story is emotional, captivating and intense. It kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning all the way until the end. I love that we not only get Blair's point of view, but also Devlin's. It makes it easier to understand him and eventually like him by the end. Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher both did an amazing job with this duet narration and really brought these characters to life.

Loved it.

This book was better than the first. I loved both Devlin and Blair they both come with their own baggage and problems and it makes the book all the better. I love that this book is done in dual narration. 🎧 PInkFlamingoProductions 🎧AudioObsession

I was given this audiobook via #Flock Review promo code at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This can be listened to as a standalone despite being book 2 in the series (and the storyline is significantly improved from Wicked Saint) the chemistry between Blair and Devlin is palpable. Devil Boy Devlin finds Blair after hours with her hands all over his body-his cars body that is. Before long, he can't stop thinking about having his hands all over HERS. Unfortunately for Blair, the failed attempt at Grand Theft Devlins Auto leaves her at his mercy when he makes her sign a contract agreeing to be HIS in any way that he decides in exchange for the payments she needs (to fund her mothers medical care) at first he's just hell bent on destroying and toying with the trailer park charity case at his school... but then he begins to uncover more and more about why she needs the money, about her home life, and when his blackmail & her debts escalates to private medical rooms and her having to play 'House' he wishes more than anything that the affection hes paying her for was real.

I really enjoyed the dual narration in this story.

Bully to the max!

Blair sold her soul to the devil not realizing just how bad things could be.. but her options were limited. She didn't really have a choice in the matter and well survival and all.

Devlin is the villain in this story.. the devil himself. He admits it freely, he knows.. It's no secret. He just can't help himself... however, there is more to him than that he just refuses to show it. He knows that his pawns have no idea what his life is like, they believe his lies and the front he puts up.

The problem... Blair sees straight through him, and him her. They both see the more underneath that they try to keep hidden.

Devlin vowed to break Blair, when he catches her stealing his car he realizes it's time to up the ante. The game has gotten more severe, more intense, more... just more.

The dynamic between these two is tough to say the least, there is attraction obviously but they both loathe each other so thoroughly that they can't imagine there being anything other than hate.

The torture and heartache experienced is cruel and real. I wanted to shake these two so many times. I despised the fact that they couldn't see the truth and couldn't get past their own stubbornness to admit the truth, not even to themselves. BUT it was realistic. It's true, it happens. People are scared to admit feelings, especially at that age. Even though they are both wise beyond their years they are still teenagers.

I loved Blair and all her fire even with the horrible hand life has dealt her, she has things Devlin has only ever dreamed of even though she thinks it's him who has things she has only ever dreamed of. On the outside he has the perfect life, but that isn't always the case. Devlin was harder to fall for, he was cruel and mean for the fun of being on top, yet there is a reason for it all. I fell for him eventually, but it wasn't easy.. he was so harsh, but yet I understood it and once I fell I swooned HARD! Once he finally let himself out it was beautiful. It made my heart so happy and I wouldn't have wanted things to play out any other way.

This story is amazing. Veronica Eden has a way with character development that makes them so real to me. I feel like I grew up with these characters and loved them as I would a real person. Well written and thought out.

Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher did an amazing job with these characters. This was my first time listening to either of them and I enjoyed it very much.

Tempting Devil

This is a bully romance book that pushed all the limits! These two are so strong and yet have those weak points that just strengthen when they are together. This series gets better with every book and I can’t wait to see more.

Great Listen!

I have a love/hate relationship with Devlin. I mean he’s a complete and total jerk with no redeeming qualities. Or so I thought. As the story goes on, you really get to see the vulnerable side of Devlin and you get to understand, in a way, why he is the way he is. When he finally realizes that he doesn’t hate Blair, he’s actually really sweet. And when Blair needs him the most, he’s there. The chemistry between the two is undeniable and hot af 🔥🔥.

Veronica Eden definitely knows how to write a bully romance and bring the heat!

Meg & Michael did a fantastic job narrating!

Devlin and Blair!

Devlin appears to be living the dream as he comes from an affluent family, he holds a position of power in school and plays for the soccer team, but appearances can be deceiving. His past has taught him that allowing people close only leads to heartbreak so he has built walls around himself that few could penetrate.

Blair may remember a happy family life, but those days are just a distant memory. As rich as her classmates are, she is just as impoverished. She and Mom struggle to survive but they share a loving and close relationship which is how her actions have led to her being controlled by Devlin.

What starts out as Devlin bullying Blair into certain actions leads to a connection and chemistry between them that neither expected but if they are to have a future together they must trust each other with their secrets and their hearts.

Both characters have so many layers and their vulnerability is what makes them so compelling. I listened to an audio copy of this book and the narrators did a great job of bringing out the angst of not only their relationship but their lives as well. 🎧The Flock

Declining and Blair

Another knock out from Veronica Eden in her Sinners and Saints Series.

Amazing and enticing YA bully romance story. In this book we have a heroine who is fighting to help out her Mom Maizie who she loves with all her heart. They only have one another and the lengths that Blair goes through in this story to help her mom warmed my heart.

Devlin really hides his emotions through most of his life but remembers a connection to a young girl who showed him hope. I was amazed to see how detached his parents are to him in this book and loved how the connection with Blair turns him into a truly caring person.

The narrators were so wonderfully matched with the characters and I became engrossed with this book. Amazing job by both Meg and Michael and I hope to hear more by them. Dual narration is always such a joy to experience.

Bully Romance

Tempting Devil by Veronica Eden is a dark new adult high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher. This is the second book in the Sinners and Saints series and can be read as a standalone.

The book does come with a warning "This mature new adult romance contains dubious situations, bullying, blackmail, power imbalance, crude language, and intense sexual/violent content that some readers might find triggering or offensive. Please proceed with caution."

This is the second book of Veronica's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I absolutely loved the relationship between Blair and Devlin. Their relationship started off terrible but in the end you couldn't help but root for them.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Ruthless Bishop to be released on audible so I can get Thea and Connor's story.

Meg and Michael did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you like dark romances, bully romances, or enemies to lovers.

Blackmail was never so hot!

This story starts out with Blair trying to steal Devlin's car. She gets caught and blackmailed by Devlin. Blair's family is down on their luck. Her mom works herself the death to cover her father's debts. Her Father took off and left them with all the bills. Devlin is the alpha asshole but as the story progresses we see that he life is not the greatest. His parents are never around and they are not loving or nurturing. Devlin is so miserable in his life that he takes it out on others. The one he takes it out the most on is Blair. He blackmailers her into playing a game with him. He gives her money to do embarrassing thing or degrading things. He only pays her if she completes the task. This put these two characters at odds through most of the book. Blair is a very strong character and never really breaks even though Devil pushes her to her limit. This book does have a HEA and so really hot love scenes. My fav books are duel narration. I love that Micheal does all the boy parts and Meg does all the girl ones. They do an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. Veronica is a very good writer and she really makes to care for Devlin, even though he is a total ass. I can't wait for book 3. #VIPFlockReviewer #PinkFlamingoProductions #AudioObsessionReviewer

I LOVE THIS BOOK (and the series!)!!!! The wit and snark in Tempting Devil smart and fast-paced. Tempting Devil was one of those books that I didn't want to put down but also I didn't want it to finish. I loved the reveals and how two broken souls come together so completely.

Tempting Devil also gives you a sneak peak into Conner's book which I want. It was just enough to whet your appetite but no details are given away. Very much the tease from Veronica Eden.

I received this audiobook for free from Pink Flamingo Productions. THis is my honest and voluntary review.

A Gripping & Diabolical🔥Story! Fantastic Listen🎧📚🎧

Veronica Eden delivers another dark and twisted bully romance in her “Sinners and Saints” series. I am loving this series, the characters are amazing and the awesome storylines are captivating from start to end. This is is Devlin and Blair’s story, it is an enemies to lovers, an opposites attract type romance that turns into so much more. The characters are complex and continually develop and grow throughout the story. Devlin comes from an affluent family and is one of the most popular guys at schools. He grew up with everything he ever needed and then some, you would think he had it all but we learn otherwise. And then there was Blair, she had nothing and in his eyes she was nothing, until she turned into something, something to play with. I loved how everything plays out in this book, I admired Blair for strength and determination, as well as her love and devotion for her mother. I thought Devlin and Blair were great together and for each other, neither had the perfect life but they each had something the other needed. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt and emotional moments which pays off in the end with an amazing romance. Veronica Eden, thank you for another great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what comes next in this fantastic series.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Meg Sylvan and Michael Gallagher were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They did an awesome job portraying the characters, grasping each persona and making the role their own. Meg Sylvan’s Blair was spot on, as was Michael Gallagher’s Devlin, they sounded just as I pictured them to sound. These talented narrators are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

Perfect male narrator: Loved every minute of it🌠

The story focuses on family (or lack there of). Blair and her mother may not have much, but they're rich with love. In contrast, Devlin's parents often travel for medicinal work, leaving him all alone in an empty mansion. He desperately craves interaction with his parents, but they don't see him as a priority, not even bothering to return a text message, gone for weeks at a time.

Blair and Devlin's story is so achingly beautiful.🌠 How they first met, their connection that persisted throughout the years, their similarities, their emotional baggage, all of this. The vulnerability that he displayed, voicing his feelings out loud was such a moment. The way he changed for the better, redeeming himself in my eyes. And because I loved the narration so much, I enjoyed all of Devlin's chapters! It felt like this was HIS book -- everyone else is just part of his universe.

Michael Gallagher's voice acting as Devlin Murphy was something I didn't know I needed in my life until I discovered this! Taking a glance at his other works, I am surprised he's narrated so few dark NA bully romances! I cannot praise his performance enough, such a hidden gem. Not to sound too much like a fan-girl gushing, but he ACTUALLY sounds like a senior in high school! Popular narrators like Troy Duran (narrating as Caleb in S. Massery's "Fallen Royals" series for example) are so wrong for these types of upper YA/NA romances. No 18 year old should sound like a 15-year-smoker veteran. They're meant to voice out mafia or MC alpha romances instead. So kudos to you Pink Flamingo!

Another awesome feature was the duet narration: Meg voiced all the female characters, and Michael voiced all the male characters. Seriously, this is a game changer for audio books. Why aren't more companies adopting this narration style?! For all you 18+ smut lovers, you will not be disappointed. There are quite a few steamy occurrences. Devlin in charge, his dirty talk, giving out directives, calling all the shots was super hot. The female narrator though, her 'climaxing' moans were overly dramatic to the point of cringe. 🦩#PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock-VIPReviewer🦩
