Summary

The most beautiful man I've ever seen is the same one who can ruin everything.

The first time I lay eyes on Callan Walker, I know he'll be trouble. With his smug grin, hot Aussie accent, and thousand-dollar shoes, he's just the kind of rich guy who always gets what he wants. And he wants two things: a night of sin, and my cooperation as he outmaneuvers his powerful mother to take control of his uncle's estate.

I can't afford either one. I'm the only thing standing between my little sister and the foster care system.

He may have money and charm on his side, but I have something even more powerful - pure desperation. This temp job at his mother's company can become a full time job for me. It has to. But when Callan's eyes rake over my body, sometimes I forget my obligations. His piercing gaze finds the fun, optimistic girl I used to be and not the tired person I've become.

And it works - if only for a moment. Our night together was a mistake. I can't afford to get sucked into his high-powered family's treachery. But the closer I get to Callan, the more layers I find beneath those expensive clothes. Though I can't forget this is temporary. He's temporary. I have too much to lose. Too bad my foolish heart didn't get the memo....

A surprisingly sweet romance

This was an unexpected pleasure. Yes, it has the heightened realism of a romance novel - gorgeous millionaire playboy etc and there are a few plot points I quibble over (at one point said playboy doesn't seem to have ready funds available which seems a bit implausible given the champagne and jet setting lifestyle) - however, this novel also has more heart and plot than many of the genre. A real highlight for me is that THANK CRUNCHIE, audible as actually chosen readers who can do Australian accents! The book is well written, well read moving and fun.

This Is Going To Be Among My Best Books!!

This is a keeper! This story has a lot of twists and turns and I loved it. 💜💖 You have Grace, who is trying her best to make a living and raising her 15 year old sister. And then there is Callan from Australia, who comes from a cold loveless wealthy family. It’s a great read that once you start you don’t want to stop. As usual, Shane East gives a wonderful performance with an Australian accent. He is also very powerful in scenes where Callan is dealing with his anger, emotions, due to his dysfunctional family. You feel for both Grace and Callan. It’s a lovely story. If I’m not mistaken there will be a second book that continues their story. This book is worth getting.

2 words... Callan Walker!

Any time Shane East is narrating it is a one click for me, so when I started listening to this book by two authors I had yet to listen to I did not know what to expect. That being said, I was hooked from the first page. Loved the dual POV. The characters were well developed and relatable. Plus who doesn't like a hot Australian hunk with heart like Callan Walker! This was my first book by these authors but definitely won't be my last.

Was tired of "She's poor. He's rich. Sex."

I loved the story and hope they can continue this into a series. in some says the story was predictable, but the method they used to make the characters relatable and connection to them was nice. I was hooked from Chapter 1.

The changes in the voices took a bit to get used to. I wished they had kept his and her voice the same for both perspectives.

The sex scenes we're steamy and yummy. They didn't liter the whole book. I was worried that once they started having sex the plot was over. I am forever greatful that was not the case. It also didn't feel out of place or fillers. it made me love it even more.

I recommend to anyone whose wanting something to connect with. Enjoy the fantasies!

Temporary

This was an ok book, it didn’t catch me and snag me like a lot of Sarina’s books do. I don’t have anything really profound to say. I just enjoyed the book and took it for what it was a contemporary romance.

It’s a sweet romance and I am very glad they used narrators that could do the accent.

good

this is my first time listening to this author I'm not going to lie the reason I got this book was because of Shane East I love his voice. this book is about a girl who works at a temporary office who is also taking care of her little sister and struggling with life since both her parents were no longer in the picture she gets a great opportunity and before you know it the World Turns Upside Down from a sexy Australian voice. I have mixed emotions about this book I thought the female was great at times and oblivious at times. I had no problem with a guy's character at least in the storyline selfish rich guy only thinking of himself. but I'm not going to lie I really hate the mother she was a vicious woman. this book is kind of like a cliffhanger I'm assuming that there will be another book with the next character like I said it's kind of a cliffhanger it does finish off well however there is another issue that arised. overall it was a good book was a great.mmmmm. no just good.

Loved everything about this story

I loved the voices of both characters. You can’t beat an accent. It so sexy. The story is well paced and really enjoyable. I liked the audiobook very much.

I loved this book. Temporary is everything I love in a romance novel. It is romantic, steamy, and funny. The story has a really nice pace, the main characters are well developed and likable, and the secondary characters add substance to the story, which is always a plus. It is very well written, and I couldn’t put it down. Didn’t want to, either. I find it interesting that, since it was written by two authors, you can’t really tell who wrote what or when they switched. Their voices are seamlessly blended together.

Temporary is the story of how Callan Walker met Grace Kerrington.

Callan Walker is an Aussie 31 year old millionaire playboy who has dedicated his life to enjoying his money and maintaining his status as the black sheep of the family, a rebel without cause. That is, until he finds out by pure chance that his uncle Jack has died, and nobody in his family felt the need to let him know. He then embarks on a mission to find Uncle Jack’s latest will to prevent his mother from taking control of his estate, a quest that puts him directly in Grace Kerrington’s path.

Grace Kerrington is a 25 year old recent college graduate who has a very difficult family life and really bad luck. She is solely responsible for her 15 year old sister, and her primary concern right now is to turn her temp job with Walker Holdings into a permanent one. To do so, she needs to impress her boss. When she gets saddled with inventorying Jack Walker’s estate, she sees an opportunity to do so. What she doesn’t count on is Callan Walker getting in her way. Suddenly she finds herself in the middle of a family feud, torn between her attraction and developing feelings for Callan, and her need to fulfill her obligations to his mother and securing a permanent job that would give her the financial stability she so desperately needs.

I loved this story from start to finish. Callan and Grace are perfect together, their witty banter had me laughing and smiling, and their chemistry is combustible. It starts like a sort of enemies to lovers romance, two people supposedly working together but in Callan’s case, with a different and hidden agenda. It’s fun to watch Callan trying to manipulate and seduce Grace at first, and Grace doing everything in her power to resist him. With very little success, though. But then, inconvenient feelings develop and agendas change. So besides the fun times, there is also plenty of emotional turmoil, too. All the family drama gives depth to the story, making it more interesting and heartfelt.

I honestly hope the authors decide to keep them coming, not only because it was damn good, but also because they decided to end the book in a very weird cliffhanger. The ending hints at the possibility of a story featuring Callan’s sister Claire rather strongly. Or maybe it’s just wishful thinking.
