Summary
The new emotional thriller from the Sunday Times best-selling author of The Ice Cream Girls, My Best Friend's Girl and The Brighton Mermaid. Dorothy Koomson, 'Queen of the big reveal', is back with a gripping audiobook full of twists and turns.
Pieta has a secret.
Ten years ago, Pieta was kidnapped by a man calling himself The Blindfolder who said he wouldn't kill her if she kept her eyes closed for 48 hours. She never told anyone what happened to her, vowing to move on with her life. But when The Blindfolder starts hunting down his past victims, Pieta realises she may finally be forced to tell her deepest secret to stay alive....
Jody has a secret.
Fifteen years ago, policewoman Jody made a terrible mistake that resulted in a serial killer known as The Blindfolder escaping justice. When Jody discovers journalist Pieta survived an attack by him, she realises she may finally have found a way to catch him. But that would mean endangering at least two innocent people....
They kept quiet to protect themselves.
Will telling all save or sacrifice each other?

ANOTHER DYNAMITE KOOMSON THRILLER
I adored "The Friend" and "The Brighton Mermaid" and this book was every bit as good if not better. So well written with a tightly crafted plot with so many twists and turns and wonderful character development too. The book had me gripped and I carried it around while I worked about the house as I just could not put it down. I did not guess the whodunit and there were plenty of red herrings and shock reveals that just kept it all ripping along at a rate of knots with so much suspense and intrigue.
The narration was great and although there were dark crimes there was no gratuitous gore or delving into disturbing lingering details which is a hard line to walk but so skilfully done here by Dorothy Koomson.
So in short, a wonderful murder mystery thriller, many many twist turns, thrills and chills, complex believable characters and all set in beautiful Brighton so it is also like having a lovely seaside holiday too.
What a real delight - cannot wait for the next one.
6 STARS for a top quality listen.

OHMIDAYS!
Useful tip: take a huge breath in before you start Tell Me Your Secret as it will be the last breathing you do for a while. This is such a tautly written book, with more twists and turns than a Curly-Wurly on speed. Every time you think you've got a handle on who's doing what and why, Ms Koomson takes an entirely new direction. Nothing happens in the way you might imagine, but what's so brilliant about the story is the new direction seems entirely right and fitting. The multi-performance narration is superb and enhances an already jaw-dropping, OMG, I-can't-believe-it story. This is my first Dorothy Koomson but it certainly won't be my last. And don't even get me started on the ending, no spoilers here, but that wasn't what I expected to happen either. It's the kind of book that if, whilst listening, I'd met myself in the kitchen, I'd have thought that was quite reasonable, said "Hello" and moved on. I'm still amazed that my head didn't turn a full 360 degrees. Or maybe it did? Who knows what's real and what's not any more? Ohmidays, what a book!

Strong women
This story has several strong female characters in it. Not all likeable and not all good. The story is well paced, interesting and not overly predictable. The narration was superb

Brilliant
I read a few of Dorothy Koomsons books some years ago, and then sort of moved on. What a massive mistake, she is amazing!!!! I am now buying all the ones I have missed and rereading those I have. She is the best!!!!

Gripping
Great book, I enjoyed listening to it. Dorothy Koomson is brilliant! Some bits are harrowing and I wish we found out why Ned changed his behaviour and started to bully Pieta in the first place, as a child, when they used to be friends.
Brilliant narration and characters, I couldn’t stop listening to it!
