It's helpful even for grown dogs!
The book basically covers every need for training my puppy (despite I'm not a first-time owner), and has awesome tips! I don't see why people shouldn't buy it, as it gives straight directions on dos and don'ts to develop a good behavior of the puppy, or even to the grown dog. I recommend it, no doubt.

Must-have!
I'm thinking of getting a family dog and this is perfect timing! Extremely helpful book right here to help you and your new dog! The techniques in here are very valuable AND practical so it's a must-have to avoid panic and find out how to be confident so your dog will have a good home. Loved the section on home preparation and obedience commands, very important! The narration was done well with a good pace so it's easy to absorb the knowledge you'll get from this. Highly recommended!

Training a puppy is no longer daunting!
The author has created a near-perfect guide on how to train your puppy. Without this, I don't think I would know where to begin! All the steps you right there for you to follow. No longer will you be overwhelmed by where to begin!!
This was a lifesaver for my family and me! Would highly recommend it for first-time owners.

Would recommend if your getting a dog!
Having just gotten my puppy, I was losing patience with training; I did not fully realize how much time and teaching new puppies require, I really enjoyed the clear, step-by-step approach of the book. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of getting a puppy.

The best dog training guide!
When I first got my dog I felt super overwhelmed and didn't know what to do to get some of his behaviors under control. I got a Bichon Friese, which can be a super loving dog, but he came with his share of issues that needed to be controlled.
Luckily this book outlined all the important tools and techniques needed to teach a dog how to behave - get control of situations that feel out of hand, regardless of what they are. The tricks are super universal and applicable to so many different issues, but they aren't too broad. Specific issues are also addressed, but really the tools you learn in this book can be applied to all kinds of behavior.
The narration of the book is also great, matching the content. I was overall super pleased with this book and recommend it to any new doggo owner!

Great info
My dog count just went up two more last month. Someone dropped puppies off on our street and they attached themselves to our dogs and our house. Now we're back in training with these pups. I wanted to find some current best practices for training and this book did not disappoint. Great advice, great methods. I'll be applying them this month in hopes these dogs get some better behavior.

Every fundamental is addressed
My 7-year-old granddaughter has a brand new rescue dog that was discovered in a bag on the side of the road when it was just a few days old. Given that she has only ever lived with older dogs and has never had a puppy, this book is ideal for her.
It was a pleasure to listen to this book with her. It has the added benefit of introducing my granddaughter to nonfiction reading, and the tone is warm and comforting. I have no doubt that she will not only adore her puppy, but also mature into a conscientious and kind owner.
Every fundamental is addressed, and some puppy psychology is sprinkled in as well. Using the basic and methodical knowledge presented in this book, and with the help of her parents, she will learn how to educate it to behave.

Needed this!
I've grown up with cats, and did not have a clue as to how much went into raising a puppy for the first time! This book really broke it all down and has made me feel a lot less intimidated, and so much more prepared! If you're a first time puppy owner (or soon to be) or you had trouble with your pups in the past, get this book! It'll take you through step by step how to potty train, build their food manners, etc. Great book!

Perfect for puppy parents
A thoroughly enjoyable book packed with all the info first time puppy owners will need to learn everything doggy. Nicely narrated, well researched, funny and highly entertaining this book will set you off on a long rewarding relationship with your new dog. Fantastic reading, your dog will be please you bought this one, mine certainly is!
