Critic reviews

A gripping thriller. Delivers suspense, twists and sharp writing.
What a fast paced, brilliant page-turner...I predict a hit
...deliciously clever - I still haven't stopped thinking about the magnificent, twisted construction of it. The characters were massively addictive and more so because they defied traditional convention.
I thoroughly enjoyed Tattletale, sympathetic characters and neck breaking twists - highly recommended.
Lies, mystery and murder wrought by childhood trauma in this compulsive, twisty thriller.
A perfect example of how a psychological thriller should be written - intricately plotted and full of shocking surprises.
Gripping, electrifying, heartbreaking.
A well-crafted tale of love, obsession and murder - beautifully written and brilliantly twisted.
Clever, twisty and heartbreaking.
Couldn't put it down - Sarah Naughton expertly creates claustrophobic menace at the heart of the place that's meant to be safest of all - home.
A clever, twisting story of obsession.
...a compulsive, twisty story about trauma and revenge, delivered with dazzling skill
Like any great mystery, Tattletale would, at every twist, lead me to think I'd almost put the pieces together - only to turn the puzzle upside down.

Took me a while to get into the story but the performances are excellent and it becomes much more gripping if you stick with it! Quite quiet if listening on headphones.

Slow start but worth the wait

Very slow starter and to be honest I didn't like Mags at all (but think that's the point). Great middle and I couldn't stop listening, and the twists were great. Bit disappointed with the end, but that's just me personally. Some harrowing parts but all in context, definitely worth reading.

Slow to start but awesome when it got going!

I thought the narrator did a great job with the characters, however one of the voices was a little annoying at first but did get used to it.
I felt some parts of the book was dragging on a bit too much and although I did finish this, I was let down. It could be because I heard it was fantastic and highly recommended, so had high expectations maybe.

It seemed to drag in some areas

Listened in one sitting. Awesome book. Full of twists and turns. Some harrowing passages but don't let that put you off reading this excellent book.

Unputdownable

This is my favourite Sarah J Naughton book, dark and gripping. Some of the content is distressing and perhaps should contain a trigger warning. The twists became clear but that didn’t deter me from continuing as it sometimes does. Great narration.
