About this listen
Harold is an old school clowner. Big in the day, they were. Standing on the sides of roads, scaring the normal folk. But it just doesn't work anymore ... not these days. It's all been watered down, and nobody is scared anymore.
But Harold wants to bring back the fear.
At least, that's what Howdy the Magnificent — the clown that has been resident in Harold's head since his school days, and one particular day where he had a silly little accident balancing on the back feet of his chair — says.
But when things go wrong in the park in the middle of the night, Howdy and Harold decide to really ... bring back the fear ... in a life changing rampage of gore soaked vengeance.
Consider this a trigger warning for everything.

I'm going to be honest: I'm really not a fan of horror books or movies. That being said, I actually found this book wasn't too intense or overpowering.
This tale of a young man tormented by his alter ego to pursue numerous acts of violence and depravity manages a perfect balance of angst and gore.
You get a really good look inside the main character's head and see how he feels about dogs and people.
It's well-written, and the narration is good too, but ultimately, the genre just isn't really for me.
Worth a listen if you like horror

The story was a great blend of humour and depravity, enough laugh breaks so that the actions performed by the protagonist didn’t get overwhelming.
A great twist on a killer clown story. Look forward to checking out more from both the author and the narrator. Great job guys!
Narration stole the show!

My view on clowns has not changed, they are just as creepy if not more creepy! Which is just the way it’s meant to be!
Ash Ericmore has yet again managed to draw me in with his detailed descriptions of gore and horror.
The story bends and turns and tests your boundaries more than other books by Ash (might be due to my intense dislike of clowns) which is saying a lot given his other work. The detailed descriptions of horror and gore has not let me down this far, and is on par with Tess Gerritsen in my opinion.
The narration by BigBearAudio brings the twisted story to life. The characters gain depth with his incredible rawness and insanity he manages to give to the characters.
Overall, fantastic listen however I would have loved it to be slightly longer.
Yappy little…..
