On their first day of training with the Metropolitan Police, new recruits Jamie, Bunny, and Tina are asked to join a team of undercover detectives, a secret unit involved in the long-term penetration of criminal gangs. Their target? One of the world’s biggest drug dealers: Den Donovan, alias "Tango One".

To close in on their quarry, the three must go back into the outside world and become criminals themselves. But someone within the Met is pursuing an alternative agenda. Someone who has deliberately put their lives on the line.…

Great story with a different twist. Another book I didn't want to end. Love the characters and the reader gave them personalities. Could really see a second book at least in this series.....

Done it again Leather smashed it😁

Where does Tango One rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Up there

Any additional comments?

Gripping Leather is so good at taking you along at a fast pace through several channels at a time with very believable characters

Good book no wonder they're making a movie

The story was not overly unusual however I found it thoroughly engaging. From the start I started to feel a surprising affinity with the main character. Well written and executed.

Engaged right from the beginning.

After steaming though all the novels of my favourite crime authors I had to try a series of an author i had no knowledge of for ky commute.

After deciding to give this book a try initially it was hard to get into purely by virtue of me waiting eagerly for my pre-released books to come out and sometimes it takes a while to adjust to a new author as i block read books by author.

So glad i stuck it out. Book was fantastic. Never did it get too frantic. Every minute of the story my interest was kept. The pace of the storywas just incredible. Much enjoyed, good characters, loved Donovan. Good narration. Going to put other my pre-orders on the backburner and enjoy the books written by Leather. One happy listener.

Never heard of Stephen Leather. Wish I had before!

Without doubt one of his best
I have enjoyed most of his books for different reasons, but this has it all. The main delight was never being quite sure where the plot was leading, or what the outcome would be.
Imaginative narrative, and characters that all contributed to a well crafted plot that continues to build the tension right to the end.

Difficult to beat this one for entertainment

Engrossing
