The romance in this book was sweet and slow. Strong plot and great characters. The storyline is believable with well-rounded characters.

I was a little unsure about listening to this because it was a Christmas story but I decided to take a chance because I love Stacy Eaton's books, and I am so glad I did. Thad and Casey were both so sweet and lovable and made such a great couple. The storyline was mostly predictable but I really loved this romantic suspense story. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series coming out on audio so I can hear more about some of the other characters I was introduced to in this book. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

A lovely romance, great characters. I laughed and shouted .This book is full of miscommunication and misunderstanding.
Casey is trying a new start and there is her sexy police officer neighbour.

I usually find short stories frustrating because the story doesn't have enough space to be properly developed. Interestingly Stacey Eaton has managed to write a pretty complete story that has a satisfying amount of romance, backstory, suspense, tension and chemistry. Casey and Thad have an insta-attraction but due to a load of assumptions it takes them a while to accept their chemistry. Of course they both have their issues and baggage which complicates their story making their HEA a whole lot sweeter.

This book was quick and easy to listen to and a pretty great start to a potentially interesting series.
