Summary

Sparks fly between a die-hard romantic and a sexy cynic in this fresh, funny romance from USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke.

That cream-filled, caramel-topped doughnut should have been hers. Still, Haley Raynor can’t deny that the pastry thief with the dreamy blue eyes looks even more delicious. But moving in on a handsome devil like Trevor Kelly is bad news for a die-hard romantic like Haley. Trevor doesn’t believe in love. She does. Giving in to a fling and Trevor’s irresistible charms can’t end well. Can it? What can it hurt to give it a shot?

Girls always fall for Trevor, and in the end, he always ends up looking like a bad-boy cad. Still, spending some time with Haley and her smart-talking, kissable mouth sounds pretty perfect. Besides, he’s only going to be in Dogwood Lane for one week. How much trouble could they possibly get into?

The only answer? A “no falling in love” contract. All Trevor and Haley have to do is follow the rules and resist the attraction sizzling between them…before their hearts get completely tangled up in temptation.

Narration

I wish they would let men do the men’s part and females the females part throughout the books. Not just in their respective chapter. It’s not just this book. I loved the book and Adriana - just wish the production crews would let men do male voices and vice versa.

A Sweet Story

This is a fun and light hearted romance that will leave you smiling. It's perfect for listening to on the beach or at the pool and while it's part of a series you don't necessarily have to read/listen to the first book or read/listen to them in order to enjoy the story.

Sweet and sassy!

A sweet small-town romance. I liked the characters just fine but I felt like something was missing the entire story. Things were just too good between them right from the jump. The book was humorous and endearing. A few steamy scenes to help the romance along. A solid 3 star book for me. I truly only read it because I wanted to get to Penn’s story but not have FOMO if I skipped this one.

The narration for this story was great! The southern accents were believable and both narrators really brought the characters to life.

Lovely

Love is not easy to find, especially when you have no idea what it feels like. This was a great love adventure that took my heart on one heck of a ride. Haley was a woman who knew what she wanted and knew what she didn’t. What happens when a man tries to steal her favorite donut? Magic! Awesome writing by a great author.

Witty Romance

I liked Tangle WAY more than Tumble. Trevor and Haley were very likable. They were fun. Their banter was witty and funny. There was a buildup of sexual tension. Trevor and Haley liked one another.

Even Trevor, with his hangup about love, wasn't mean spirited or arrogant. Haley with all of her rules, was sweet, yet a little goofy. Both of them were kind and intelligent. They unintentionally built a friendship before anything else.

I thought it was great when Trevor figured out he loved Haley. That he could love Haley. It was also great when Haley figured out she was strong. She was in pain, but she could handle it. She could move forward no matter how she felt.

Overall, I think this book had all of the elements of a good romance. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. I listened to the audiobook along with the ebook. I thought the narration was good, but I would have liked to hear more of Aiden Snow's voice .

Good next installment to the story

I was really looking forward to Haley's story after reading the prior story in the series (although reading in order is not necessary). It was well done and I really liked Haley, who is a sweet character. I liked Trevor too and there was a lot of interaction between the characters from prior books and this couple, which, in my opinion, immerses the reader in the small town. This book felt a little slower (but since I listened to the audiobook with Summer Morton and Aiden Snow, that isn't necessarily a bad thing!) and it felt repetitive in the issues they faced and how they went about with their relationship. However, overall, I enjoyed the book and the narration. I was happy to return to Dogwood Lane.

Swoon worthy ending

While I enjoyed Hayley and Trevor’s story I pretty much wanted to shake Trevor. I was happy Hayley held her head high and showed her true strength when face with a repeat of her track record with men. But the way Trevor finally connected with and showed her just how much he cared, how he loved her, was nothing short of swoon worthy!

love

I read this book when it first came out, but I enjoyed it all over again listening to it.

I'm not totally on board with the naration. I think they both did a wonderful job, dont get me wrong, but my preference isn't for the alternating chapters. (he does trevors, she does hailys) since you still have a male doing a female voice, and the female doing the male.
