Malachi. Elizajane, Noah, and Elias practice their ball-playing skills every night in the park, getting ready for games on the weekend on their magic diamond. They are lucky enough to play baseball against the greatest players the game had ever seen. With dedication and hard work, the kids make a load of progress on the field. There are a few things, however, which might ensure they embarrass themselves during the games. For Elizajane the bats are too heavy. Also, they were going be hitting against either a pitcher who still held the record for most wins in baseball history - after 110 years, or a man who had struck out over 3,500 professional baseball players in his career. Also, they are kids playing baseball against the game’s best players.
It’s a good thing Elias and Malachi have a surprise ready.

The kids spend their time plastered with a giant helping of happy smeared in their faces, and naturally people are suspicious...Why are they so happy, anyway? Will they be able to keep the reason for their permanent joy a secret?
