Silas and Posey had great chemistry. The book starts with a bang and some misunderstanding so we see them skate around their chemistry for years until a friendly friend and some other friends push them together again and the sizzle is just to much to ignore.
Stephen Dexter and Avery Caris as Silas and Posey were absolutely brilliant.

Silas saying ‘Mama’ may just be the hottest thing I’ve ever heard! Things are certainly heating up in the south and I am here for it. Silas & Posey’s undeniable chemistry is enough to light fires everywhere. These two can’t deny how much they want each other, and denial is getting them nowhere. I love the not so slow burn, cuz once these two start breaking rules it’s full steam ahead. Aside from their steam, their friendship is equally adorable. The way they tease, communicate and simply co-exist is wonderful. I absolutely devoured their story and it may just be my fav Brooke Montgomery yet. The trip back to Sugarland was a nice reminder of the stories I’ve enjoyed. I love all the family vibes of these series, nothing makes a book more appealing than knowing you get all the side stories too. I love a good second chance story, especially if there is a nugget of enemies to lovers tension threaded throughout which this story definitely delivered on.

I absolutely loved Avery Caris in this narration. Her southern drawl went on like melted butter on a hot biscuit. It made Posey’s sass even more entertaining. Stephen Dexter was equally fabulous as Silas. He had me melting every time he said ‘Mama’. Iykyk! Their chemistry made every interaction come alive. Each line was a perfectly setup volley back & forth, thoroughly entertaining.
