Another great piece of investigative reporting against the big three American institutions. I won't say more other than you'll not be disappointed in the writing, but can't say that about those it's based. But then, I guess you won't be surprised about that either?? . . . .

This is a fascinating and quite possibly true conspiracy theory. However I’ve given up half way as I’m fed up with the constant negativity of the author which disses everyone and to that extent tends to destroy the obviously detailed research over many years.

I wasn't sure about the book when I started to listen as I was a little sceptical on the topic with all the controversy surrounding the topic. BUT when you hear the few hundred very similar and some very accurate accounts, it all starts to gain plausibility. have a listen and decide for yourself.

Is ultimately a limited hangout. This book is really well written and well read, clearly some effort went into this, and it goes to painstaking lengths to catalogue all the lies and corruption from the president on down, and towards the final minutes of the entire book, suggests what happened, was a missile test gone wrong. This effectively replaces one completely innocent cause (plane crash due to mechanical failure) with another (plane crash due to failed navy missile test). The running theme here is clearly "the accident was an accident."

Disappointing, because if the author were really trying to solve this issue, he would have spent just 5 minutes in the book trying to verify his conclusions, rather than just 5+ hours pointing out the lies everyone else has been telling. For example, 60 seconds research tells me the military issue temporary flight restrictions (TFR’s) whenever they are going to be firing or testing anything.

He also assumes that the entire American establishment, from FBI to CIA, and a host of politcos including the president, will all lie to cover for the mistake of the naval officer who gave the order for such a test. I'm sure there's much more if you gave it some thought as to why this makes zero sense.

As such, the limited hangout this book appears to be, explains all this away as nothing more than saving a few mid-level navy people the embarrassment of a test gone wrong, at the expense of making top level people look like stupid liars. Makes no sense and based on the integrity and depth of the research, prior in this book, is very suspect indeed.
