This is my first book by Kimberly Readnour and I loved it! It was fun and entertaining! Cara and Braxton have hot and sizzling chemistry! I love the different ups and downs that come with college and sportsbooks and this one made me super happy!

I read this book via audiobook and let me tell you....


1. Sarah Puckett is one of my all time female narrators
2. Chris Brinkley’s voice was sexy smoldering butter. (I do wish there had been more of the book from the hero’s POV just to hear Chris’ voice a little bit longer. I do hope I come across more books in the future with him as I always love finding new favorite narrators!

The story is a new adult sports romance that pulls you in right from the beginning with these likeable characters that each are looking for something more they are missing in their lives. Braxton right away notices Cara and immediately knows she’s some thing special. Cara fights it all tooth and nail. The banter is cute and fun and I love to watch as Braxton slowly breaks down those walls Cara has built so high.

Cara has sworn off athletes. Her latest experience was awful. Then in comes the new Babe Ruth embodied in a gorgeous ensamble. But one misunderstanding leads both into chaos. Braxton is way too charming but Cara isn’t falling for it. Their relationship builds on lies. Will they make it? You have ro listen to this book, it’s lovely and you cheer for them to finally get together. The narrators are awesome, they give such life to the characters.

Braxton is a college baseball player who is trying to make some decisions about his future so the last thing he needs is to become a headline in the paper. Cara has recently started at the college however she is letting her past experiences affect her present.

Cara is determined to not like Braxton, but he shows her that he is not the arrogant athlete that she believes he is. As they spend time together, they become close but will the secret she holds destroy the relationship that they have been building?

I really enjoyed watching Braxton and Cara handle what life was throwing at them as well as what they were throwing at each other. Romance, humor and great secondary characters make this a great beginning to a new series. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought that the narrators were a perfect choice for the story and the characters. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Swinging Strike by Kimberly Readnour is great! I loved how the author wrote the characters, the tension, the chemistry, and the attraction. Both Sarah Puckett and Chris Brinkley were great bringing the characters to life. One could feel their emotions. Audiobook Obsession thank you for this great recommendation! I loved it!
