Sweet Surrender is book 3 in the Love & Legacy series and it can read entirely fine as a standalone. I absolutely adored Jamie & Ashton's story. I was hooked right from the start, the push and pull, the tension, the chemistry between the 2, even if they “hated” each other. I loved the storyline, the plot was really intriguing and I really enjoyed the suspense aspect that Bella threw in there, I was not expecting that and it was a pleasant surprise. She added some twists and it just made for an even better story. Bella is a master with words, a master with her storytelling, but I believe she outdid herself with this one, it was amazing!

Jamie and Ashton have this insane chemistry, both mentally and physically. I adored how they learnt to be friends again and then finally explore the deeper feelings that always lingered. It was emotional, layered, full of fun banter and filled with so much past history. The way they came back together was so genuine and felt so real. The way he was so gentle, caring and constantly there for Ashton made my knees weak. I loved how they both grew apart from each other on their own terms. The found family was the cherry on top, the beautiful support they all offered one another was top tier !

Overall, this so far is my favorite book in the series. It was so complete, made me feel all the emotions and just had me in its grips right from the start.

🎧 The narration by Samantha Brentmoor & Jason Clarke was amazing. They fit so well together. Their tones were perfect, the emotions they brought to the story were perfect, the way they delivered the story truly enhanced the experience even more. Such a fantastic audiobook, highly recommend!
