Never does K Bromberg let me down! Every time I put on one of her books, I am pulled in and living in the story. This second chance romance is so good, I listened straight through and could not stop. Vince and Bristol were a couple in high school, only to have Vince leave his abusive home to follow his dream. Several years later, the two meet again, only this time, they get together to get some closure. Now it's seven years later, and Vince's life is a mess. Pushing away all those he loves, he is going to focus on a solo career,and who will be his agent? Why Bristol! She is not prepared for this and when he is assigned to her, all the feelings she has suppressed come to forefront. He too has never gotten over her. But she has a secret that can surely destroy what fragile love they still have to build on. Can these two ever find their happily ever after? Love, love, love this! From the innocence of the teen years to the difficulty of adulting, I found myself feeling each and every emotion these two had. It's sweet and painful, and oh, the family scenes! Be still my heart. It's a wonderful book and one that will fill your heart too!

Stella Hunter and Ryan West are our story tellers for this fabulous book and they are amazing together. Hunter plays Bristol with such ease! From the hurt teen to the pained adult, I could feel her love breaking through it all. West gives the broken Vince a convincing set of feelings, each one making him real. I enjoyed these two as they told the story and loved every minute.

K. Bromberg blows me away with this amazing second chance, single mom, rockstar romance, and it has left quite the impact on me because I am still feeling it hours later. The story not only captivated my attention the entire time, but it tugged on my heartstrings too and tugged hard. Vince Jennings and Bristol Matthews were each other’s everything at one time. She helped him get thru high school and escape from his abusive father. But when he could not take his father’s beat downs anymore, he had to leave, and knowing Bristol was too good for him, he had to leave her too. He was an inspiring musician, and she had plans to get her law degree and work in the entertainment industry. She thought they would do this together and despite it breaking her heart, she understood why he needed to leave. Several years later the band he was in was on its way to make it big, so she went to one of their concerts and sought him out. He was glad to see her, but he was a bit of a jerk asking her why and what she wanted, it seemed like everyone wanted a piece of him. Bristol was genuine and not like the others, and they spent the night together, a steamy night. But he left her before she woke because that is what he does best and she went home and back to her life. But that night was a night to remember, and a life changer for her. She doesn’t see Vince for another seven years, he is a new client for the firm she is working for while she finishes school. Vince and his band made it big, but his life has imploded and he needs to get it back on track. He had not expected to she her again and his feelings for her never died. But Vince needs to get to the root of his anger and why he has self worth issues. And Bristol is holding back something from him too, something that has the potential to destroy him and any chance of a future they may have had. These two were each other’s one and only, and it took them eleven years to find one another again and for Vince to open his eyes and his heart, and to allow himself to be loved. A whole lot of awesomeness helped with that, and forgiveness too. This is a love story to be remembered, and I loved how it all played out. The plotting and writing are fantastic and so is the dialogue. K. Bromberg, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  And for the amazing narration, K. Bromberg cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Ryan West and Stella Hunter are superbly talented narrator and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. West rocked it as Vince, playing the angsty rockstar perfectly as well, bringing out his other sides, including his vulnerabilities and insecurities. Hunter’s take on Bristol was perfection, grasping all sides of her personality, from her determination to loving and caring side. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters, including Jagger, the scene stealer. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another outstanding listen.

This was a super angsty second chance romance! Really enjoyed that this was different to most secret baby trope books and it made sense why Bristol had kept this a secret from Vinces character. Also a lot of what got in the way of him finding out was realistic too. My only critique is that after learning these things Vince’s reactions once he found out didn’t seem fully justified to me which is why I’ve knocked off one star.

Overall the plot and characters were interesting, their backstory had a slightly different structure which I liked. Stella’s voice worked very well but I think Shane wasn’t the right choice for Vince in my opinion.

Vince and Bristol's story is emotional, and beautifully written. Vince is enigmatic. Bristol is beautiful, strong, and smart. They are both interesting characters. Their relationship is complex, and filled with secrets. The storyline is engaging. The story is told from both POVs, which is great. This is a great slow burn second chance Rockstar romance. Ryan West and Stella Hunter did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it.
