Books talk about sparks flying. F--k that shit. With her, it was like emergency flares mixed with jet fuel. Or maybe just straight up napalm. Only one problem: She wouldn't tell me her name or her number when she disappeared from the hotel room after the hottest f--king night of my life. Now I've had a taste of unicorn pussy - the sweetest, rarest of all pussy - and I need it again. So what's an asshole to do? I took this problem to the street, a missed connection gone viral. And when I find her? I'm keeping her.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old.” Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true. The name embossed on the blue stationery: Reed Eastwood, obviously the most romantic man who ever lived. I also discovered he’s the most gorgeous. If only my true-love fantasies had stopped there.

Gavin Kingsley burst into my life in a sharp and unexpected twist of fate. You know his type - arrogant, dangerously handsome and impossible to ignore. Something dark within him calls to the shadows inside me. I long for the kind of heart-wrenching passion I've only read about, and his tragic past reads like one of my favorite literary classics. Raw. Visceral. Captivating. Together, we're a perfect mess. The deeper I fall into his world, the more I crave him like a drug - he pushes every boundary I have and challenges everything I thought I wanted.

And it leaves no time for love or girlfriends or relationships. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a monk. I understand the attention and focus it takes to seduce a beautiful woman. Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes. I didn't know or care what her name was. Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man. She hates me, and she should. I objected on her wedding day. Now she's home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there's no ring on her finger. They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after, but I'm not done with Whitney Gable.

The rules say it's me - if I'm married. It's not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman. Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Summary
The New York Times best-selling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player starts a brand new story of friends, love, and lust with Book One of the Wild Seasons series.
One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.
But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation - and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out - Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume - her sweet, filthy fling - to France for the summer and just…play.
When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

My least favourite Christina Lauren book
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A different narrator and a more emotional & interesting story.
What was most disappointing about Christina Lauren’s story?
There was very little connection between the main characters Ansel and Mia. I was not buying this story, the way they met and the way their relationship played out.
By 50% i was asking where was the filthy boy, he was more sweet than filthy. The characters from Christina's other books are more filthy.
What didn’t you like about Shayna Thibodeaux’s performance?
I found the narrator's voice to be annoying. Too many pauses. The narration did not flow.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Big disappointment. I really wanted to read this new series.
Any additional comments?
Despite my disappointment in this book, i will try future Christina Lauren books

Not at all what I was expecting, and not in a good way
I’d read autoboyography previously, and really liked it, so I tried this. There is no story. It’s just a repetitive description of whiny self obsessed girl having sex with an opaque bloke. Horribly narrated with lots of irritating quirks. The word ‘hand’ being one of them...and good lord does the word hand come up a lot in this book. Boring, dreadful, nonsense. Avoid.

So much better than you think
The title is interesting to draw you in but the story and the characters are definitely well written. I wanted to know more about them and enjoy the unravelling of their individual arcs. The sex scenes (of which there were many) were well written and didn't seem over the top - all in keeping with the characters. I would highly recommend for an easy listen on the raunchy side. Can't wait to move to the next in the series.

I’d tried Lauren’s Beautiful Bastard series just a few weeks before and I hadn’t been as successful with it as I was hoping to (I actually made it to book 2.5, before calling it quits, maybe I’ll come back to it one day). Alas I decided to give Lauren’s Wild Season series a go, and seriously the audiobook was probably one of the best decisions I’d made, as the narrator Shayna Thibodeaux had me hooked from the very beginning. She did Ansel’s French accent perfectly, that I was swooning throughout. Typically I’m really fussy with a woman doing the voice for a guy, but Shayna nailed it!
Also the situation that Ansel and Mia found themselves in was really awkward; they’d only met a few hours before and had woken up the next day married and could only remember bits of the best sex they’d had the night before. But Lauren really made their relationship work for me and make it appear so realistic. I could understand the connection that they had and why they didn’t want to get their marriage annulled. I’m glad that despite not knowing one another, they decided to take a chance with their relationship.
Having visited Paris just last year I adored the days that we were given with Mia exploring her new life out there, it made the traveller in me want to go back and visit as soon as possible. This alongside Mia and Ansel slowly learning to adjust to one another in their lives made Sweet Filthy Boy an addictive read. I was eager for more Mia and Ansel time, their chemistry was off the charts, but I was also scared for what could be around the corner for them. I could see that they were perfect for each other, but how could they make it work? So you could say that little bombshell at the end was a complete shocker to me, it sort of left me reeling.
All in all Sweet Filthy Boy was a truly wonderful read, I honestly can’t wait for more from these two in the rest of the series, as by the end of this book, I was totally in love with Ansel! Readers you do not want to miss out on this gem of a book!

Full five stars
I adore Christina Lauren, and book 1 in The Wild Seasons series has left me desperately wanting for more. It's a story that's been told a thousand times, weekend in Vegas, get drunk and and get married. Yet it doesn't get old. This story is told with passion, and I really felt I could connect with the characters. Mia is a wonderfully deep sexy girl with so many layers. She is shy and reserved. Ansel is compulsive and adventurous, he, for some reason, is the one to bring Mia out of her shell. One small problem. Ansel lives in Paris, Mia lives in America! Ansel is willing to give this marriage a fighting chance, is Mia willing to stay the course and fight for what she wants? Beautifully written with characters I adored, so looks forward to reading more. Full five stars, highly recommend.

Finding yourself while finding another-HOT ROMANCE
This story is about a young women finishing up college and finding herself by falling into a dream romance during a girls weekend in Vegas. The book was fun, interesting and SEXY! I enjoyed the story line and character development of two young souls learning about themselves and each other during a steamy romance with lots of HOT SEX!.
Other reviewers have remarked on the narrator. My initial thought was to agree with some of the critics, but by the time the couples meet in Vegas - I cannot think of any voice I would rather hear! She does a great job for both the female and male voices and accents and I truly believe the narration is what kicked this book to a solid 5 stars for me. French never sounded that sinful and delectable in my head before! Stick with it. Once the male characters are introduced you will understand why she is the PERFECT voice for this audio book.
Credit Worthy - YES! Purchase Worthy - Do not hesitate! This is a great read to escape into. Enjoy!

I lost a night of sleep to a Frenchman
I stayed up all night listening to this book and it was well worth being exhausted the next day. What a fantastic listen and a huge surprise from this great writing duo. I honestly didn't think they could pull off another book as good as The Beautiful Series but they did! I'm just mad at myself for not listening to this one sooner!! I can't wait for the next installment and I can assure you I will not wait 3-4 months before devouring it.
5 Sweet Stars!!

Great Story!
Awesome! I really like Christina Lauren books... but these audio versions... Boy! Some are great and some...well... are not... THIS ONE WAS GREAT! Dual Narration is sooo not needed... so please I hope the rest of this series keeps the same narrator!
Now... on to the review... Great story...of a Vegas wedding that actually seem pretty real when the wedding isn't annulled right away.... The (h) goes to live with the (H) in Paris France, on the spur of the moment...but that is where to real story begins... I loved the fact the (h) had issues with smexy time! Made her seem so real.
The ending... teardrops! So worth a credit or sale... Maybe not a buy...it's not a cheap book... But if this was like book 3 of the series...and the series is this good all the way through...then yes! it's a buy not matter how much it cost...
Narration was good. Nice shift in male and female voices...

Sweet filthy read!
This is a really fun book! It's refreshing that there is hardly any drama. The main characters seem to really like each other. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a steamy, romantic, carefree read. And recommend that anyone who has a problem with strong language and explicit sex scenes skip it.

LOVED this book!
I don't write many reviews, but I just had to write a little blurb about Christina Lauren's newest book. Ansel twisted my heart in knots. He was sweet, charming, and playful. Mia had her insecurities, but thankfully wasn't a bore because of them. The storyline was engaging and the backdrop...well, it was Paris...c'est bon! The narrator made Ansel's voice believable, and even had Mia stumbling over the pronunciations, also believable. I was up until 3 am when I worked the next day just to hear the entire book without sleep interrupting the story. It was well worth it. If you haven't already been hooked by Christina Lauren's "Beautiful" series (as I am) go ahead and download this wonderful story. You'll likely want to hear everything she writes, and again...you won't be disappointed!

Mmmmm, sweet and filthy perfection!
This book was total escapism at it's best---a random fantastic hook up that turns out to be the love of your life? And let's not forget the absolute most delicious part of it all--he's French! I was totally into Ansel's sweet filthy sexiness from word 1!
Christina Lauren has done it again, creating a cast of characters that you would love to know, and can't wait to enjoy their journey to happily ever after. The one minor drawback was the narration. I have to give the narrator 'props' on the French accent, but, I'm pretty sure she's had a career in spoken-word. Every word (except the beautiful French) sounded like she was reciting poetry for an open mic session, and unless I'm attending an open mic session, I prefer a different 'flow'.
Despite the poetic-flow of the narrator, the overall story, the hot sex, and the jaw-dropping reveal at the end of the story has me ready for book 2 in this series. Highly recommended for all the spontaneous romantics out there!

Sweet Hot Deliciousness / Yum Yum
Any additional comments?
Sweet Filthy Boy is the first in "Wild Seasons" series and focuses on a young french layer with very diverse group of friends from various parts of the world, and then there is this recent college grad who just wants to be herself and follow her own path. So you listen on and feel you know what is going to happen, and then BANG just when you thought that there was no way the romance could work, or you guess on the direction of the story, you get sidetracked by the funny parts and the very Sexy (fanning my face to cool it down) Dirty parts of this book...
After listening to Sweet Filthy Boy I had a strong desire to go to Las Vegas on a search for a Frenchmen of my own - His accent is such a turn on... This book exceeded my expectations by a billion miles. It was sweet, hot, adventurous, and it made my heart skip a beat - quite a few beats... Shayna Thibodeaux was the perfect narrator and hooked me right into the heart of this book!! I can't wait for book 2 in this fabulous new series - Dirty Rowdy Thing - and will be snapping it up as soon as Audible release it... :)

Fun,sexy story but narration....meh
Such a fun, sexy story of lust and love and, maybe, happily ever after! Regrettably, Shayna (who does the French accent and narration so well) does not modulate her tone and so every sentence goes up and up in pitch until the last 2 or 3 words when it drops again. It feels like I'm on a roller coaster!

Loved the story and loved the CHARACTERS!!!
Christina Lauren books are absolutely delightful. I fall in love with each and every story and all the characters I meet along the way. Dark Wild Nights did not disappoint. Lola and Oliver's love story swept me away, comic book loving nerds and all. Christina Lauren has this amazing ability to somehow let me see glimpses of myself in each of their characters which is why my heart always clenches for their struggle, their fears, their hopes and their reasons for loving each other.
Sexy comic store owner Oliver and sweet, smart comic writer Lola are the best of friends. Their attraction to each other goes unspoken until one sunny morning when Lola finds herself sketching a nearly naked Oliver. This scene is when I fell for Oliver and his ability to rescue Lola in the most subtle of ways. Oliver is strong and steady and such a good guy. Lola is funny and genuine. I related to the way she struggled with balancing her need for things to happen at the right time and accepting that there isn't always a perfect time. I also identified with Lola falling in love and being so completely consumed that everything else in her life was pushed aside. It's a work of fiction but some of the struggles are very realistic.
Shayna Thibodeaux does an amazing job with Christina Lauren characters. I seriously just LOVE her because she narrates it just how I would if I was reading. Shayna is perfect! I also enjoyed Steve West as Oliver. I did find it a tad distracting from the story when he read the lines of any dialogue from the ladies. When men narrate women's lines I wish they would just do it in their normal voices. They always sounds silly and come across as small little girls instead of the strong characters Christina Lauren has created. Overall I thought Steve came across as a realistic Oliver.
I am sad that it had to end and I can't wait for book four!

Started a little slow but really got going...
This one is a great addition to the Christina Lauren books, funny and sexy and oh so very hot. I did not like it as well as her previous books, but I absolutely LOVED them, so you have to take that with a grain of salt. This book is still very enjoyable and very good, I was just not blown away, like I have been in the past. The story and some characters did not seem as developed as in past books and the ending was good, but did not provide all the resolution I wanted to see, not sure if more is coming in another book. Overall a highly enjoyable listen.
